You are so right about the cost of rods. I bought 2 Shakespeare rods on clearance for $2 a piece and a $20 reel. Have had them since 98 and caught hundreds of fish on them.
Hi! My new year's resolution is to take up fishing. I haven't fished since I was a kid 35 years ago and would ride my bike with my rod to the local creek. I have forgot and lost all my skills. So glad I found your channel to teach me!
Another inspiring and informative video. Thanks for talking about your rigging, location, weights, feeling for bites, etc. I believe you when you say it’s about skill and experience. You obviously have both.
Awesome video! I like how you use Ozark trail, they are cheap but, they Catch fish. Your you don't need expensive stuff to go fishing wisdom is truth and REALISTIC! Can't wait for the next adventure!
Really enjoy your videos! Love the fact that you use budget gear like myself and don’t endorse or try to push flashy $100 gear like other channels do. You truly keep it realistic!
Alex this is another great video for beginners. I really hope they listen to you you prove you don't have to spend a small fortune on high dollar named brand rigs and baits to catch fish. Keep up the great videos. Stay Safe. Stay Healthy!
My two favorite trout/panfish rods are both under $30, a dc'ed Cabellas rod and a Okuma Celilo. My favorite reels I have on them I got for $15/reel during a new years sale two years ago, the Okuma Ceymar. You definitely do not need expensive gear to catch fish. Although when you're fishing a river for steelhead/salmon and making hundreds of casts with a 9ft+ rod, it is nicer to have a lighter rod. But I digress. Party on Wayne!
One of the best things about stocked trout fishing, is that it gives opportunity for folks to catch trout that usually wouldn't have access to trout fishing, and they are usually willing biters.
Bro u gave me so much confidence im deff going to try tomorrow to get some trout for the first time and ill follow up on my attempt. Something i love bout fishing is being patienece and not giving up till u catch one its so rewarding.
They recently stocked trout in MD by me and I never fished in the winter before, but your recent videos inspired me! Took 2 - 3 hrs to limit out (5) RB's used brown and pink powerbait : ) Had quite a few come off and missed a few hook-ups too. It was totally worth it 👌
I am falling in love with fishing but not all the spoons in the bottom of the crick. I like powerbait fishing for stockies. Had a fly fisherman tell me to change my setup and said I’ll never catch anything. I’d caught a 13in brownie the day before right where he was standing saying that to me.
I like your comment about the price of your rod. It really doesn't cost to catch fish. My first rod was a super cheap telescopic rod (for my motorcycle) a Wakeman. I caught all my PBs on it. I finally upgraded to a $20 Cadence reel I bought on black Friday. My $20 cadence ideal 3000 reel feels just as nice as my fishing buddies $200 Penn Battle reel.
I agree with ya on the price of fishing combos. The most I've ever paid for a combo rod and real was $60.00. And that was because I wanted a batecaster combo and that was the cheapest one I could find. Never used one and wanted to try it out. I've always used a open or closed real to fish with. That's what grew up calling them anyway.
I am SO appreciative that while some channels (i.e. yo Bro's show 🤣) would have you believe ya gotta spend the big bucks to catch fish .... you take the time to show and tell that ANY rod/reel can catch fish, so long as you know how to use it. And the less ya spend on the gear, the more ya got to spend on the lures 🤣🤣🤣. Keep on keeping it realistic! Ps, thats some good tree climbing ya did there. #determination
Agreed, you don't need the most expensive gear, but it helps and certain items are awesome, such as the shimamo slx dc i really splurged on this summer.
First 👍
🏆 So fast!
🥇 Here is the Nobel prize for Frank because he is awesome. Ha ha ha Gamingwithasshole is lame.
@@RealisticFishing hello 9-1-1 there’s been a murder
@@RealisticFishing gamingwithasshole should go check into some *burn* centers
I nominate Frank for the Nobel prize. Sorry Gaming in your moms basement Frank is cool and you are not.
One of the few that refuses to edit out catching a tree. Keeping it Realistic! 👍🍺🎣
Thats right 👍
I’ve also caught a few tree branches in my day 😁😂😎😊
The "tree pounder" is definitely a common catch while troutin' around me lol.
I earned the nickname Twiggy for that haha
A boring Saturday evening and then a vid from realistic fishing. It couldn't be better, the evening is saved!!! 🎣🎣👍👍
You are so right about the cost of rods. I bought 2 Shakespeare rods on clearance for $2 a piece and a $20 reel. Have had them since 98 and caught hundreds of fish on them.
My dude climbing over trees to catch some trout. Awesome stuff brother. Really cool trout spot and pretty bows.
Love that you’ve caught 100s of fish on the $17 combo. That’s a good counter message to the marketing we hear everyday from the manufacturers.
Hi! My new year's resolution is to take up fishing. I haven't fished since I was a kid 35 years ago and would ride my bike with my rod to the local creek. I have forgot and lost all my skills. So glad I found your channel to teach me!
I use to say the same thing when I did landscaping and skipped breakfast,
"Sometimes you miss the bite and wind up on a tree!"...
😅
Another inspiring and informative video. Thanks for talking about your rigging, location, weights, feeling for bites, etc. I believe you when you say it’s about skill and experience. You obviously have both.
Stocking there this morning. Bout to head out. Wasn’t even specifically looking for a video at this spot and found it anyways. What a small world.
Awesome video! I like how you use Ozark trail, they are cheap but, they Catch fish. Your you don't need expensive stuff to go fishing wisdom is truth and REALISTIC! Can't wait for the next adventure!
Thats exactly eight 👍
Really enjoy your videos! Love the fact that you use budget gear like myself and don’t endorse or try to push flashy $100 gear like other channels do. You truly keep it realistic!
I like these trout videos. Keep em up!
Thanks for watching Rhett
Heck yeah keeping it realistic Alex, proving it is skill not gear that reels in the fish. 🎣
It's definitely about the quality of the fishers rather than the cost of the equipment. Good one.👍🏽
Cold and wet weather won't stop you from keeping it realistic 👌 🐟 Nice looking Rainbows they really like those power eggs 🎣
Never get tired of these videos
Always a good weekend when Alex uploads a video.
Love catching trout wayyy after they’re stocked. Like you said, really tests your skills. 👍🏻
Alex this is another great video for beginners. I really hope they listen to you you prove you don't have to spend a small fortune on high dollar named brand rigs and baits to catch fish. Keep up the great videos. Stay Safe. Stay Healthy!
Like golfing, you can have the most expensive rig in the world, but a pro is going to whoop you with a barbie Zebco rig from wal mart haha.
Thats right 👍
Damn right
Honestly, my daughter has caught some fire ass fish on a Barbie rod, no lie 🐠
I know that video too
Goddamn right.

Those Eggs are great. Good breakdown on setup. Enjoyed it as usual. Keep it Realistic.
Can't wait! Just got an e-mail from DNR saying that preseason stocking just started. Need to make some time to get out!
One of the best things about stocked trout fishing, is that it gives opportunity for folks to catch trout that usually wouldn't have access to trout fishing, and they are usually willing biters.
Thanks for the awesome content like all videos you put out. They are so helpful
I love these trout videos, one of my favorite kinds on the channel 👊🏻

Just got done getting skunked in the freezing cold. Glad to watch you catch something.
Way to get after it boss, you got these trout dialed in. I need to get my a$$ out fishing. Stay safe out there!
Good job climbing. Great show.
I didnt get crushed by a big log 😶😂
Good trout fishing video. Huge thumbs up.
Thanks for the beginner advice.
Hopefully it helps someone catch a few 👍
@@RealisticFishing It will help me! Lol. Its always good to stick to the basics. Great presentation, explaining what to use and how to use it.
can't wait till I go trout fishing this winter season was a bust
No winter trout?
Nice i catch fish there weekly at ....the dam. If you start across the river wehre the current is you will find them more concentrated
I like how i can catch a trout in the middle of summer, but as soon as they start stocking i cant catch nothing. Sheeeesh
They recently stocked trout in MD by me and I never fished in the winter before, but your recent videos inspired me! Took 2 - 3 hrs to limit out (5) RB's used brown and pink powerbait : ) Had quite a few come off and missed a few hook-ups too. It was totally worth it 👌
I am glad you got out there and tried 👍

Good vid man. Glad to see your spirits have risen 🤓
Never first but never miss a video! KIR
Alex happy new year man I'll be watching later
Thanks! You too 👍
I was so afraid your boots were going to slip climbing over those trees. Good video 👍
Now that something i would do great video! Thanks for keeping it real.
Some nice trout and good tips!! Don't need to empty the bank account to catch fish!
Thats right 👍

Love when you show cheaper ways to fish. Just got a Lew’s Hank Parker rod and reel for $24 at Walmart.
I have videos using that combo. It caught fish
Great vids & thanks for all the tips
If you don't hook up with a tree, you're not realistic fishing. 🇺🇸
You ain't lying one bit lol.
My personal best willow is 15 pounds what about you? lol
I might hold a record for catching trees that way.
One good thing of the bad weather fishing is that you can hear your own thoughts! Cheers, mate!
I'm gonna miss fishing that spot. Great vid
I came from Kayseri with love and greetings and I will wait for you.

Great vid!

Your videos are great 👍 glad someone keeps it realistic
Just discovered your channel! Absolutely love it! Thanks for the tips!
I use a slip sinker instead Of split shot When I'm fishing the Fast moving waters Doesn't get hung up in the rocks as much Great video buddy 👍
Nice little keepers. Way to battle. Love it.
My mom caught a bunch of trout in Colorado with some chunks of Wisconsin cheese while we guys were out using lures. Yeah she outfished us again.
My boy.
Gotta love the stockers
Man What you said about the rod.... Made me think of Uncle Steve.. Sure miss that guy, not everyone knows him but I am sure you do.
Yes. I named him as an inspiration in a previous video
I like the trout vids, bud. no freshwater species of trout here in Florida. it’s cool seeing other species I can’t get here 👌🏼😄🎣
Great video Alex
Great spot. Great fishing. Great content.
Keep it realistic
Nice work man! You do good on those power eggs, I can't seem to get anything on them, got the Gulp ones in orange.
The gulp is different. Those are like jelly, these are like rubber.
That is a beautiful spot.
thanks for the rig breakdown!
Great tips, nice job, looks like fun. Wish I had an area like that down here in so cal.
Here for it
👍👍

What I don't need a high dollar set up to catch fish 😅😂 your correct, thanks for the tips 😁
Thanks for keeping it simple.. damn I wish TH-cam was around 40 years ago.. lol
Thanks and greetings from Kayseri
If the water isn’t moving like that do you still fish the bottom or float it on top
Beautiful fish Alex.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing

Nice video as always ,do you ever go live ?
Not really. The internet sucks where I live.
Caught a trout on this today. From Souther California
I went trout fishing last year any tips on catching stock trout with powerbait and what equipment I should really be using thanks.
