From those 24 original heroes, 12 specifically Radiant and 12 specifically Dire.. from when Corrosive Haze used to be called Amplify Damage and was Necro's ult.. Lich was a skeleton summoner and Stealth Assassin had Death Ward and mines you could hit yourself to trigger.. before the time of recipes where only single items existed.. I remember my favourite hero was a mage looking guy that summoned 2 Wendigo beasts as his ult - it's been so long I've forgotten his name as he does not exist in Dota 2. It's been slightly over 20 years and it's insane to me how far the game has come. From it's birth to the game that is Dota 2 today, I still play. From my highschool days to my university nights, from my teenage years through my adulthood up until now, this game has been a part of me and has provided countless fond memories. I cannot believe it's been 2 decades. Never stop. Last forever. Thank you.

I absolutely envy your experience and I hate that the one held in Romania was during the corona virus and audience was not permitted... I'm from the EU and flying and staying in the US for a full TI is way too steep for me but if they ever make it in Europe again I would go crazy.... This ceremony is absolutely incredible, it's a bit sad that there isn't a studio quality recording of this session... 3:00-3:50 is so incredibly epic and beautiful.. I've watched it probably 20 times at this point...
I’m curious, what did you guys see in the augmented reality parts? Was the aegis just sitting there the entire time? You didn’t see it floating around as Pango lifted it right? Instead of a cathedral what did you see? Just a plain arena or did they do some projection mapping?
i came back after watching the TI13 opening. and this part 4:00 cathedral windows animation with choir BGM music still gives me goosebumps. i think this is one of the best TI Openings

Despite Valve's questionable decision this year, TI12 is one of the best TI in terms of productions, no hiccups from day 1, we rarely see a problem from the games, excellent production, and game format. Sad to see we had lower prizepool and no BP
Only people who don't watch TI whines about the prize pool. Even if the prize pool is 1$ we will still watch TI because high quality match is all that matters
It's not really about the price pool for TI. It's only exaggerated by outside people that didn't really know about the community. We have been doing this since Dota, and we will do it again for years in the future.
I am so utterly happy that Valve is the caretaker of Dota. We couldn't have asked for a better dev, regardless of whatever bs people spew. Valve production levels for TI makes me happy.
