You prob won't see this as it is an older video, but I've been bingeing on your videos. Love them..and the fact that your manners and personality are so pleasant. I have worked estate sales before and while 99% of folks are kind, that other 1% can really make an impression.
Thank you so much for your kind words Robin and for binge-watching my videos! I'm glad you're enjoying them and I really appreciate the kind words. Estate sales can definitely have their moments, but it's heartwarming to know that most people are kind. Here's to more pleasant experiences for all of us! 💛
Those Hemingway books totally looked black when you were inside. I think a small flash light would be great. Also, since I have noticed over several videos that sometimes you get ‘gunk’ on your hands when you pick something up, maybe carry a small pack of wet wipes with you too. I would never have thought of that had I not watched your videos, so thanks! I love how you can really spot a great venue to check out and find so many great things. ❤
Thank you for your feedback and suggestions Amanda! I'll definitely consider using a small flashlight for better visibility in darker areas and carrying wet wipes for those sticky situations. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoy the locations and the treasures I find. Your support means a lot! 💛
Homes like this are so familiar here in Memphis. It's always sad when someone dies & Everything they've 'collected' over the years becomes worthless. I'm sure if they were still alive they would be shocked by Actual Value in Common Old Books etc. Believing everything was so _Valuable that they saved it 'for the Grandkids'.!
I liked the animal figurines and the metal card file cabinet on legs was very cool. Very high prices though. It's hard to tell black from navy sometimes so don't beat yourself up. Bringing a little flashlight for attics is helpful anyway though, if you're using your phone to film and can't use your flashlight on that.
405,330 man died in World War II between 1940 and 1946. A lot of mothers lost their sons. I don’t think it was the time to be alive. we are blessed for a freedom today because of over 400,000 man died.
I bet if you really sat down with most people of this generation you would be hard pressed not find anyone who didn’t believe it was a great time to be alive. Most people hold tight to the times they grew up in. Was there sorrow and loss, absolutely but please don’t underestimate the pride that generation had in fighting in and winning the wars they were in. I thought her comment about it being a great time to be alive showed respect and it to me was a beautiful comment! 😊

I'm thinking that is not just any shovel, but possibly (since its by the military stuff) its worth more.
For that price, I agree!
Alot of treasures in the house!
Definitely some wonderful collectors pieces!
That shovel was likely used in the trenches in WWII!

Great tip on the flashlight!
My favorite new channel!
Thank you so much Susan! I appreciate the kind words. 😀
Prices too high ...love that picture you got though ...gorgeous frame
Knew I had to get it right when I saw it! 💛
Why can I not hear your sound properly if I put the picture big? This is only in your videos like that. That really suck.
Maybe inside your home the books will look black as well … fingers crossed
I really hope so Cat! 🤍
FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS FOR A SHOVEL......REALLLLY?
This house to me is Mid Century but not Mid Century Modern. Does not have the modern design elements. 🤷🏻♀️🤗
