- It’s a beauty school, but the allegations are ugly. Aspiring estheticians at the Hudson Academy claim they paid the school thousands of dollars for an education, but got backdoored instead. Their teachers quit and the students quickly realized they weren’t learning a thing- but when students spoke out about the issue, they say the school expelled them and threatened legal action. The battle is heating up, so we decided to investigate: is this beauty academy running a botched operation, or is it all just a rough patch?

these school scams are big in the Atlanta area.
It is important to look at BBB, tour school, and look at all reviews. I totally SKIPPED this school and so many like it. I opted for one with a REAL history, and that included the board exam prep. Needless to say, I received all certificates and passed both written and clinical exams. I wish these ladies luck

wow. a mess. i feel the students mostly did this to support black own businesses but with further research any type of beauty school should be approved by the state licensing board.

This school stressed me out I couldn't believe I was almost done with school when they sent me and all of my peers an email terminating the entire school I am still in shock and I am so so grateful that they are finally being exposed for the fraudulent people they are you try to support a black business and this is what happens they take your money and treat you like crap

1k-3k is the price for LASH classes.. and a CERT. for a cosmo or esthi license you have to go to an accredited school and they cost around 20k they have them cheaper at community college. The class is over a year(I’m a licensed cosmetologist)
I said the same thing and I am a licensed Esthetician ...3k for class was very cheap.
Yeah I went to school to become a esthetician and paid $13,000 so something is definitely off at this place. *smh
She should have passed her Bar exam because it looks to me like she’s using what she learned in Law school to her advantage! SMH 🤦🏽♀️ scammer

Seems like to me it was a big scam it's unfortunate that black women who want to make something of themselves and have a career had to go through something like that I'm a licensed stylist in a license esthetician and it just breaks my heart I hope she gets what she deserves

This is all bad. But sad to say that a lot of beauty/medical schools are doing this here in Atlanta. You really have to do your research before giving your money and attending. I hope all involved are able to get their money back or at least their credits.

Esthetician teaches you more than just those services including sanitation..3k is very cheap for an Esthetician school .Seems like they were just offering the popular services.

That happened to me taking a medical coding class. My job okd my tuition reimbursement, but the school got shut down after everybody kept failing the exam.

I use to work at summer program ran by Faith and her mother. They were a major problem. Most of their staff hadn’t even been paid. I was eventually fired and called “dangerous” because I spoke out about how they treated the children and staff.
