I agree, but even my pale as death and quite pink self who loves her grays (I feel gray is highly underrated as a shadow color) feel the color story is too redundant to be worth it. So many looks can be replicated using completely different shades for each one and next to no one would know different shades were used.
I feel like this palette could've been a bit more varied. Still focused on greys and silvers but have a true pink, a navy matte, a true blue shimmer, I don't know. Maybe a missed opportunity there because it seems to be quite redundant for the price.
Oh a true blue shimmer and navy would have been fabulous. I agree that the icy pink should have been more like Glitz or Psychedelic from the Retro palette. In fact, I'm looking at the Triochrome mini palette seeing those navy and blue shimmer colors there. I think it was a good idea to release these color stories close together like she did!

Agreed, I couldn't wait for this. I was so so bored with the variations of I need a nude (which I haven't bought because .. please don't eat me alive!! .. when I saw it in the shop I thought it was so boring!!!!). And I can actually see a very gentle pink shift in the peony shimmer in the swatches. I also think this will look amazing on darker skin tones, but I cannot WAIT to glam up my Christmas with this!!!
Sparkling white and icy pink shadows are my two most used shades. I always pan those colors whenever they are in a palette (which is annoyingly rare). The fact that this palette has redundancy in those very shades makes it feel like this palette was built for me! Definitely picking it up.
FINALLY, we cool toned girls have a neutral palette for us! I just got it today and can't wait to dip in. I have given so many of my palettes to my warm toned daughter - even Glam, that everyone said was cool...but it isn't, lol. This is for those of us who can't wear golds, browns, taupes, any warm tones. I am ecstatic, and I hope to recreate these beautiful looks you did. ❤
I’m a little jealous you can wear grays/silvers. I can wear darker gray clothes and look good, but on my face? No way. I think they’re BEAUTIFUL though. I can totally see where finding them compared to warm colors would be so very difficult though.

It is funny, I rewatched Angela swatching the colors, and while blizzard and flurry barely show up on her, I am so fair I can use them as crease shades, lol! This will be my holy grail neutrals palette; now, don't get me wrong, I love color, and you will have to pry Love, Pastel, Lila, and Circo Loco from my cold, dead hands, (I am 50 now...got about 50 to go, 😂). But for a basic, neutral go-to, this is AMAZING!! ❤
These new ND releases just make me love my Biba palette more. I can pull out the 2 Grey and the Black shades in that palette and add the champagne shimmer to get my own look when I want this vibe

@isabelab6851 I definitely think undertone plays a part in it. But I bet the pink-ish shimmer will look amazing layered over a pink matte. I'm definitely going to play around with it. thank you for coming in REALLY close - it makes watching exactly how you apply and your techniques very easy to comprehend. No one zooms in this closely which is why I don't watch many others applying/testing eye shadows. I do love a good grey on my brown eyes but for the price of this palette, I don't like that there's the 3 to 4 "white" ones... regardless if one is matte, wet, frost etc. I have the 2011 Lorac Oh La La Baked Shimmer & Matte palette that has the perfect gray/silver, on black, and 4 other "nudes". It's hard to find a really good gray palette these days. Yes, it's an oldie but still applies beautifully. I love how this palette looks on your eyes and would love to see another video or two using it. thank you for always putting out such quality videos!! Hugs!
I received this pallet yesterday..... And I'm in love!! The shimmers are gorgeous!! I have tons of pallets with different variations of "gold" shimmers..... I'm so happy to have a variety of "silver" shimmers! 🖤🩶🤍🩷🤍🩶🖤
Beautiful palette. But I think I can get pretty much the same with Juvias Place Rebel Grey quad. I do not think that I'd be able to come out with many different looks with this palette. That bluish shade is gorgeous though

I got mine today and the shades look different enough from each other to me, more so in-person than what I’ve watched online. I have never had a palette so cool-toned and that’s been my dream! I’m extremely happy with it! Those light shades are everything! This is the first color story I’ve ever had that have more than one whiteish color I use everyday.
I could see a makeup artist getting their money's worth out of this palette, but not the normal consumer. I loved the 2 looks you created and my favorite shade was the blue-grey of Ebb.
I was on the fence about buying this palette when it was announced. However, I've seen a couple of reviews including yours and I love it! There are more metallic whites than necessary even though they are different finishes. As for the metallic black, this formula reminds me of the shade Jazzy from the Retro Glam palette. That shade was described as metallic as well but it's a satin rather than a metallic. The same is true of the shade Night Sky in this palette. I love all the looks you created! With the Sephora VIB sale starting tomorrow, I'm going to pick it up. I think it will be a great companion palette to her other palettes and I can also create my own color story because of the holes in the packaging!
Thank you for swatching the palette! The color story looked interesting in the pan but looking at your eye looks, the colors look like 2002 with the frosty shades. I have Naked Smokey and I pull from other eyeshadow palettes for a true smokey eye. I would like to see this compared to the new Huda Beauty's version of a smokey palette named Pretty Grunge.
This is a pass for me. For the price it’s definitely not worth it to me. I can get so many Independent brands that will actually add something new and interesting to my makeup collection. That being said do love the Looks I’ve seen with this palette. So for free I have some more inspiration and can even incorporate inde shadows as a pop of color. Main stream companies are lacking in color story in my opinion.💜🌈💜
I love both of your eye looks with this palette, Angela! Absolutely stunning! Natasha Denona definitely put beautiful formulas in this palette, but I still feel it’s a bit too monochromatic for my taste. I’ve seen this on deeper skin tones, and the undertones definitely show up much better.
I really like your honest initial opinion on the palette. The 2 looks you created were awesome! I like grays and silvers but I’m not sure I like them on me enough to buy this palette. I have colourpop's 9 pan smoke show palette. it's a really pretty grey, white, black, palette. I use it quite often. I'm so glad, cause I can't afford Natasha's palettes lol.

I know that I will be considered crazy but I have been eyeing a palette like this for a looong time. I actually liked cremated by JS when it came out and then I just decided I won't support him anymore so I was looking for an "unproblematic" alternative. This came around and I am reading all your opinions about it and I am once again kind of torn. Any ideas for a palette, that isn't that much but provides these tones? (I am from Europe, so please no colourpops and such as it is difficult for me to get it here) Thank you!!
I had the cremated palette for a hot second (it was the last JS product I ever bought) and I don't have it anymore, but I think Cremated had some good cool toned browns in it too that I liked, whereas Xenon is strictly grays
I was surprised that nightsky was described as a metallic black. Not looks so blue on me! I did a neutral medium brown all over my lid and crease, Aspiration, from ND My Dream, to deepen inner and outer lid/crease. Skift dabbed over the center lid/crease, and Night Sky to line upper lashline. This will be pretty paired with I Need A Nude palette too, or even retro, or glam! Or the shade Rhodium from the bronze palette might look gorgeous with these dark shades (and a brown crease instead of grey).
Yeah your video cemented it for me. I know it’s a limited edition palette but if it goes on sale I’ll pick it up (more than 20% VIB discount) otherwise spending my money on something else. Love the looks you did create ❤
I don't have this palette, but I do like the colors that are in it from what I have seen of the palette. It definitely sounds like the descriptions are completely off for some of colors. Again I think the 2 eye looks would be cool for one complete look for a fun night out on the town, or some special event.
I don’t have many black or white shades in my eyeshadow collections. So I purchased the ND Xenon pallet. It encompasses any need for me to reach for b/w or grey color scheme.
Such pretty eye looks. I don't understand why so many haters. Just like mamy many many neutral palettes that have 20 shades of brown. I agree that the pink looked pinker in most pics but I still see a pink tone.
Really pretty but I’m personally not blown away really. Plus with the colours not being what has been written on the packaging I would be annoyed paying for it but not getting what I’ve read. It gives me “half assed” or “Winging it” vibes. At that price it should be worked over with precision plus…. Thanks Angela, as always a worthwhile video ❤
I paint with oil paints and a few years ago an affordable paint brand came out with this 12 shades of grey collection and I feel they did so well with the diversity of shades. Purple grey, green grey, blue grey etc. it’s absolutely possible to paint a whole Great painting only with that collection of shades. I wish this eye shadow palette was more like that paint palette. I fear with this color story it will always look very similar, no matter wich shades you use. The mini xenon palette will most likely be able to achieve most of the same looks.

I actually love this color story and like that it's more focused on its color story rather than veering off in a seemingly random direction. Like a random metallic green would be weird. But it seems like a lot of pallettes do that and I rarely use the random color for "pop". Yes shade descriptions r off but who actually creates an eye look based on descriptions? I do it by swatches against my skin tone or just visually looking at the pallette. I would love to be able to afford this pallette this and your sigma pallette. Maybe Santa will be good to me this year 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼😁
You know that pat holiday quint lunar nightshade? We could use that as inspiration to build our own Natasha quint. We could use Ebb and Nightshade from xenon (or the blues in zendo), and use matte from either My Dream or Retro, and the sparkling lavender maybe we could use Psychadelic? Mia? And with Halloween coming up, everyone is doing different Wednesday Addams looks. This palette might give that! Although I still prefer to blend out these shimmers with a brown… Oh, I think there was an article that said what the makeup artist used in Jenna Ortega to get Wednesdays look. She used Mac Script, Mac Glitch in the Matrix, and max carbon. We could use Natasha Familia, Cygnus, and either Sposh or Blackest Black.
It's a fun palette but I feel like you don't need this many similar shades. Like if you have the mini Xenon do you really need this one? How many black & silver cool toned shadows does one need really?
@@angelaabright Neither do I. I actually just got my 1st Natasha palette just the other day. Hence why I'm watching tutorials on it & found your page ( I got the My Dream palette ) I have similar palettes like the Xenon though & I don't feel like you need a ton of these shades. I just think there's less expensive alternatives to the Xenon. Seems to be a lot of ppl who are excited about it though so I'm glad for them. Thanks for the awesome tutorials!
omggggg omggg you were the first one saying exactly what i feel, listen the whites, all of them, sparkling, or wet looking or the shimery whatever, theres too many whites, and agree with everything else you said... they told me oh she knows what she is doing its also for different skin tones etc... but STILL really??? too many of the same
I watched another TH-cam beauty influence that did a look with the pink and was disappointed in how it looked now enough pink in it. If I had that palette the look I would be to put down the black all over topped with the last shimmer in there I myself can’t afford it however I feels u can get the same shades from colorpop
You could find a way to make mud and dirt look beautiful! I love both looks, but prefer the darker one on you. This pallet will be a pass for me; pretty, but way too expensive.
I'm a cool tone lover, but I'm not sure about this one. I would rather there were more gray tones than so many light shimmers. I own the CP Smoke Show/Blowin Smoke and a Corpse Bride collab with She Glam. That may be enough.
Your eyes look so beautiful in these shades! If I were younger, I would be all over this palette. Rather than too many pale shades, I think there are too many dark shades … I am more pale than you. If there were lighter grays so that I could wear any of the darkest shades as anything but liner, I would buy it for sure. I started wearing eyeshadow when gray was the go-to and I gravitate toward it. This may actually be my perfect palette IN THEORY. In reality, though, it’s a pass. @@fourducksoriginal I think dramatic eye looks on women whose eyelids are getting crepey and slack don’t look good. Also, my hair went gray very early and when it required touching up really often, I stopped dyeing it. So I am a more washed-out version of myself and dark shadows are not something I find flattering.
@@callioscope thank you for sharing that! I'm not yet crepey but planning for it not being far off. It sounds as if anything that draws attention to the skin of the eyes - [so, not just the commonly cited shimmer shadows, but also very high contrast eyeshadow looks, or bold bright colors] - highlights the looser texture. I presume you have light or medium skin, if dark shadows create high contrast. So I'm guessing that very *light* shadows would be the ones to create that high contrast on dark skin and be the ones that people with crepey dark skin might choose to avoid (or not! I'm very open to learning from those with highly textured eye skin who still do high-contrast, colorful or shimmering looks.) Like I said...I'm planning! Thanks for your thoughts.
I really wish she had included the matte black from the mini. The minis almost always have repeat shades and the one time I wanted it doesn't lol. I love the smokey story though. I just feel it's missing black black.
Yea I’m not impressed with this palette but then again I have color pop quartz palette and stone cold fox palette I feel like I could do same looks as this new palette has to offer
I love the more Smokey look but I wouldn't buy this palette only because these shades all look alike. I can't even imagine how much this palette costs but I don't think it's worth it at any cost
How do you get ND shimmers to apply with a brush? I’ve tried with all kinds of brushes, eye primer and no primer, but only get them to work by applying with a finger.
I find that not ALL of her shimmers work with a brush but I'll always try the shimmers with a flat lid brush and if that doesn't work then I switch to my finger
The looks are stunning! That being said ..... there isn't alot you can do with this palette in my opinion. And, sadly -- all of her palettes give me the same vibes. Not to mention -- the prices are ridiculous

The mattes pull very blue on me as well. It’s a pretty palette. It’s not for everyone. But I’m happy to have it.

Thank you for swatching the palette! The color story looked interesting in the pan but looking at your eye looks, the colors look like 2002 with the frosty shades. I have Naked Smokey and I pull from other eyeshadow palettes for a true smokey eye. I would like to see this compared to the new Huda Beauty's version of a smokey palette named Pretty Grunge.
I’m totally buying Pretty Grunge when it launches and I already think I’ll use that way more than Xenon but I will compare the 2!

This is a pass for me. For the price it’s definitely not worth it to me. I can get so many Independent brands that will actually add something new and interesting to my makeup collection. That being said do love the Looks I’ve seen with this palette. So for free I have some more inspiration and can even incorporate inde shadows as a pop of color. Main stream companies are lacking in color story in my opinion.💜🌈💜

I love both of your eye looks with this palette, Angela! Absolutely stunning! Natasha Denona definitely put beautiful formulas in this palette, but I still feel it’s a bit too monochromatic for my taste. I’ve seen this on deeper skin tones, and the undertones definitely show up much better.

I know that I will be considered crazy but I have been eyeing a palette like this for a looong time. I actually liked cremated by JS when it came out and then I just decided I won't support him anymore so I was looking for an "unproblematic" alternative. This came around and I am reading all your opinions about it and I am once again kind of torn. Any ideas for a palette, that isn't that much but provides these tones? (I am from Europe, so please no colourpops and such as it is difficult for me to get it here) Thank you!!

I had the cremated palette for a hot second (it was the last JS product I ever bought) and I don't have it anymore, but I think Cremated had some good cool toned browns in it too that I liked, whereas Xenon is strictly grays
I was surprised that nightsky was described as a metallic black. Not looks so blue on me! I did a neutral medium brown all over my lid and crease, Aspiration, from ND My Dream, to deepen inner and outer lid/crease. Skift dabbed over the center lid/crease, and Night Sky to line upper lashline. This will be pretty paired with I Need A Nude palette too, or even retro, or glam! Or the shade Rhodium from the bronze palette might look gorgeous with these dark shades (and a brown crease instead of grey).
Yeah your video cemented it for me. I know it’s a limited edition palette but if it goes on sale I’ll pick it up (more than 20% VIB discount) otherwise spending my money on something else. Love the looks you did create ❤
I don't have this palette, but I do like the colors that are in it from what I have seen of the palette. It definitely sounds like the descriptions are completely off for some of colors. Again I think the 2 eye looks would be cool for one complete look for a fun night out on the town, or some special event.

Such pretty eye looks. I don't understand why so many haters. Just like mamy many many neutral palettes that have 20 shades of brown. I agree that the pink looked pinker in most pics but I still see a pink tone.

Really pretty but I’m personally not blown away really. Plus with the colours not being what has been written on the packaging I would be annoyed paying for it but not getting what I’ve read. It gives me “half assed” or “Winging it” vibes. At that price it should be worked over with precision plus….

I paint with oil paints and a few years ago an affordable paint brand came out with this 12 shades of grey collection and I feel they did so well with the diversity of shades. Purple grey, green grey, blue grey etc. it’s absolutely possible to paint a whole Great painting only with that collection of shades. I wish this eye shadow palette was more like that paint palette.
I fear with this color story it will always look very similar, no matter wich shades you use. The mini xenon palette will most likely be able to achieve most of the same looks.

I actually love this color story and like that it's more focused on its color story rather than veering off in a seemingly random direction. Like a random metallic green would be weird. But it seems like a lot of pallettes do that and I rarely use the random color for "pop". Yes shade descriptions r off but who actually creates an eye look based on descriptions? I do it by swatches against my skin tone or just visually looking at the pallette. I would love to be able to afford this pallette this and your sigma pallette. Maybe Santa will be good to me this year 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼😁
You know that pat holiday quint lunar nightshade? We could use that as inspiration to build our own Natasha quint. We could use Ebb and Nightshade from xenon (or the blues in zendo), and use matte from either My Dream or Retro, and the sparkling lavender maybe we could use Psychadelic? Mia?
And with Halloween coming up, everyone is doing different Wednesday Addams looks. This palette might give that! Although I still prefer to blend out these shimmers with a brown…
Oh, I think there was an article that said what the makeup artist used in Jenna Ortega to get Wednesdays look. She used Mac Script, Mac Glitch in the Matrix, and max carbon. We could use Natasha Familia, Cygnus, and either Sposh or Blackest Black.

I have similar palettes like the Xenon though & I don't feel like you need a ton of these shades. I just think there's less expensive alternatives to the Xenon. Seems to be a lot of ppl who are excited about it though so I'm glad for them. Thanks for the awesome tutorials!
The center bottom row shimmer has the smallest hint of pink.

I watched another TH-cam beauty influence that did a look with the pink and was disappointed in how it looked now enough pink in it. If I had that palette the look I would be to put down the black all over topped with the last shimmer in there I myself can’t afford it however I feels u can get the same shades from colorpop

I'm a cool tone lover, but I'm not sure about this one. I would rather there were more gray tones than so many light shimmers. I own the CP Smoke Show/Blowin Smoke and a Corpse Bride collab with She Glam. That may be enough.

Your eyes look so beautiful in these shades! If I were younger, I would be all over this palette. Rather than too many pale shades, I think there are too many dark shades … I am more pale than you. If there were lighter grays so that I could wear any of the darkest shades as anything but liner, I would buy it for sure. I started wearing eyeshadow when gray was the go-to and I gravitate toward it. This may actually be my perfect palette IN THEORY. In reality, though, it’s a pass. Thank you for the best video on the palette I’ve seen.

@@fourducksoriginal I think dramatic eye looks on women whose eyelids are getting crepey and slack don’t look good. Also, my hair went gray very early and when it required touching up really often, I stopped dyeing it. So I am a more washed-out version of myself and dark shadows are not something I find flattering.
@@callioscope thank you for sharing that! I'm not yet crepey but planning for it not being far off. It sounds as if anything that draws attention to the skin of the eyes - [so, not just the commonly cited shimmer shadows, but also very high contrast eyeshadow looks, or bold bright colors] - highlights the looser texture.
I presume you have light or medium skin, if dark shadows create high contrast. So I'm guessing that very *light* shadows would be the ones to create that high contrast on dark skin and be the ones that people with crepey dark skin might choose to avoid (or not! I'm very open to learning from those with highly textured eye skin who still do high-contrast, colorful or shimmering looks.)

I really wish she had included the matte black from the mini. The minis almost always have repeat shades and the one time I wanted it doesn't lol. I love the smokey story though. I just feel it's missing black black.

Aesthetically, the palette swatches beautifully. Very soft, kitten-ish. However, I can’t see this palette being able to create much variety at all.

How do you get ND shimmers to apply with a brush? I’ve tried with all kinds of brushes, eye primer and no primer, but only get them to work by applying with a finger.
I find that not ALL of her shimmers work with a brush but I'll always try the shimmers with a flat lid brush and if that doesn't work then I switch to my finger

Not one I'll pick up. I have smokey palettes that will work on dark chocolate skin. The whites & pale blues are giving ashiness for my skin tone.
I actually love greys and silvers so I have plenty in my collection. This palette wouldn’t add much to it and for that price it is a no for me.

The looks are stunning! That being said ..... there isn't alot you can do with this palette in my opinion. And, sadly -- all of her palettes give me the same vibes. Not to mention -- the prices are ridiculous
