I just purchased a Graco Ultra corded sprayer (17M359) and here's some information that was provided to me by Graco Contractor Equipment Technical Assistance. I had a bunch of questions about part numbers and tip interchangeability, so maybe someone else can benefit from this information too.
The TC Pro line is manufactured by Graco for Home Depot and Lowes. They are identical to the Ultra line that Graco makes for themselves. The "Ultra Corded" = "TC Pro Corded"; "Ultra Cordless" = "TC Pro Cordless"; and the "Ultra Max" = "TC Pro Plus". Also, the gray-colored TCP (TC Pro) tips are identical to the green-colored FFLP (fine finish low pressure) tips. The TCP tips are just manufactured/marketed to go with the TC Pro sprayers for Home Depot and Lowes. Both TCP & FFLP tips use the RAC X tip guards (Ultra is blue and TC Pro is gray), providing the same quality finish, and are interchangeable.

I watched a lot of videos about this sprayer but yours is the one that sold it to me. Nicely done. Very informative. I bought it this week and painted a small shed, trim one color and siding another. Great and fast sprayer. I agree that a vlog about cleanup would be nice. The manual says clean it upside down and none of the 'pros' have shown that. Keep up the great work.

I bought a Harbor Freight sprayer for enamel paint the other day, because I cannot see how it would be possible to clean oil based paint out of one of these things. Painted 3 chairs for a customer, made 325.00 so I just chunked the 15 dollar HF sprayer. Worked pretty well, the chairs turned out great. Maybe I am missing something?

I also recently bought this as well the ability to use it off existing battery platform. First job was to repaint kitchen cabinets. Primed with oil first, it did not get a nice spray pattern at all with trying several tips sizes and pressure. But once running latex what a machine, low pressure needed and quick not using any cords or hoses. Lays down a beautiful finish on the cabinets. Enjoy I am.

Increasing pressure and shooting off target will get you more life, itll get to the point where it wont shoot water. Replacing pump assembly is easy, p2 screws, and once your in you will see the triax pump. You should take it apart and clean the pump motor around 30 gallons

A great review. I was looking to purchase one and you answered some of the questions I had. I do have a question, Spraying vs a paint roller, besides saving time with the sprayer, do you use more paint with it? You said that you painted 420 linear ft of board, how much paint total did you use? I saw that you filled it once and had 1/4 of a cup left. So my guess is you used about 1/2 to 2/3 of a gallon of primer? Is that about right? How much (guess) that you would use if you used a roller? I am really pleased with the information and demonstration in your video. Thank you and take care. Tim

Going off your recommendation for small jobs- would painting kitchen cabinets classify as small- say all the cabinets and frames- doors excluded (small kitchens- 30-40 doors or less)? Looking for more efficient means- and also, does the corded work as well minus the corded hassles?

I have the Sherwin Williams version. Came with a service kit to renew pressure pump items. Was told the unit only good for the life of the installed seals and service kit. Once both used up pump is useless. Well each pump seal kit is supposed to last up to 100 hours. The problem with my unit is the suction tube is stiff. If you tilt the unit it sucks air and quits spraying. Tip always drips and spits onto work being sprayed making for more sanding if your lucky enough to get the paint to sand down. Mostly end up digging underneath the blob of paint and remudding. Also the reservoir only empties half way before sucking air as the suction tube sits way of the bottom of the reservoir. For $750 Canadian was a waste of money. Batteries last about 20 minutes tops before recharge needed. Also bags of overspray. I have had seriously great results from a Wagner Paint Crew unit. Airless sprayer 2000lbs pressure and totally perfect finish flawless operation, but like lost paint spray equipment most time spent cleaning up

The Graco website has a video on how to clean the gun. I used the Graco Pro to paint the shadow fence between my house and garage and it worked great, just like you saw with Richard's job. The problem comes in clean up! I used oil based paint (one gallon) for the fence job. It requires so much mineral spirits, and is so messy to clean the interior and exterior of the gun and it's various parts, that in the end I became so frustrated that I threw the thing away and called it good. It might be easier with water based paints and using water to clean up, but you still have the problem of disposal and bucket after bucket of waste water. All that said, I do plan on purchasing the battery operated model like Richard's, but only using water based paint in it.
The electric cord model is much more difficult to use when refilling the paint cup. You end up getting paint all over the exterior of the unit and all over yourself. As we saw in the video, the battery unit is much neater to use.
Oh, one more thing, the lower pressure setting you use, the reduced amount of overspray you will encounter. Using the unit at 10 is okay for large flat surfaces like your garage or shed. Richard would have used a lot less paint on the lower setting.

Can you talk about how to maintain a gun like this? Cleaning, switching paints, storage. That kind of stuff. I'm a carpenter but never touch paint.

Can you show us how you thin your paint for use with the gun (best practices) and how you clean the gun after use?

You don't have to thin the paint if you don't want to. He doesn't thin his paint.

Maybe follow up after about 10 jobs and add a trailer to this as an update. I just watched this. Then also just post short 2 minute updates on their own for followups to the new tools being used on jobs. You guys shoot your videos very well. Information is excellent.
