VW is probably losing a little bit of money every year that goes by since they still won't bring it to the US. I'd love to drive this. I saw them all over Central America. They could just yank a V6 from a Toureg to entice those who are upset it has no V8 option. 280 hp is enough for most pickups and torque is good enough for hauling trailers. If it was available here, I'd be driving one. Currently driving a Golf GTI.
Usually, your reviews are short, and that's what I, and I believe all of your other subscribers, love about them. I appreciate this review also, but in general you are quicker in presenting the facts, including an off-road circuit. In this one you really took your time :) (maybe you were "forced" for this approach, and I understand it). In fact, I am writing this comment as the video is still going. Please, don't take it as a negative comment, I just observed this and consider mentioning it. Keep the vids commin' ;)
Video was longer but there was no word to much, liked to watch it, Marek swinging apprehensive but relaxed through the parkour. (... as long as you make no video of a Corsa on an offroad parkour)
Good presentation Thanks.......Off road in the Channel country of s/w Queensland would present a real test ......( mud 24 inches deep ). those hard surfaces a pushover.
Maybe I'm just hearing things, but everytime you've said "you can't hear anything, no suspension or any other noise in the cabin" I heard slight squeeking and screeching :D
Anything you hear in this scene is my camera bag and tripod rattling in the back of the car. And the seatbelt is brustling against my t-shirt. Note to self: in off-road situations clip the mic on the shirt away from the seatbelt. Here I made the mistake of attaching the mic to the seatbelt ( though it's going to be more stable), and as the seatbelt moves against my t-shirt there is a lot of noise, which shouldn't be there.
still dont understand why VW decided using light grey headliner and a/b pillar covers was a good idea specially in a car such as that. i have the same in my Vw caddy and because its a work car, your hands are not always clean and that gets dirty REALLY fast
+Diwa Galvez and probably this is what you're going to get. In Europe it doesn't meet emission standards, but elsewhere they can sell it without a problem.
Marek Drives Hopefully they sell the V6 here. The emission standards here is sad, because they still sell diesel engines which are only Euro-2 compliant (outfitted on old vans and SUVs).
AFAIK we don't have 124 in Poland yet. We'll probably be among last markets in Europe to get it. Cars like MX-5 sell in tens (not even hundreds) annually. I have something different planned for 50k. Perhaps it'll start with a few days delay, but stay tuned.
I love your reviews; technical, practical and real-world relevance....keep them coming. New fan from South Africa
Hmm. At last a fair V6. Looks tasty and this car deserves it. I believe it is the last nail in a Hi-Lux and L200 coffin. =)
It's not. Two reasons - price and reliability.

largol33t1 VW is working on an Atlas truck version.

+M. CTR i know this is a bit long, but the off-road course took ten minutes. I try to keep it short.

Can you give me the timecode? I'll tell you what's that sound.
Maybe a key chain of the plastic under the steereng wheel?
For example I heard something at 12:05 right between "As you can probably hear..." and "...you can't hear a thing." :D

Alrighty then, thanks for explaining!

First! I hope they release that spec here in the Philippines. As far as I know, they only plan to release the 2.0 I4 diesel here.

Petrol? Do you mean diesel?
Timecode pls.
10.00 I thought there might be a petrol engine for the US market.
daseteam I should have said "fuel".
BTW, I don't think they're brining the Amarok to the US. They have bigger wheelbarrows over there :)
daseteam truck at docks
