I personally would have scored this differently. When she did her kip her knees were very bent. I would have given her knees alone about a .2 deduction. This was sorta hard to see but from what I could see, in her first kip her toes were not pointed. I would have taken off about .1 for that. Arm bend in the first kip was about a .15 tenth deduction. In her first kip alone I took off about .35 tenths so she would be at a 9.65 just after the kip. In her cast before her back hip circle free hip from the camera angle I couldn’t tell if she made it to the correct degree so I’ll just give it to her. In her back hip circle her knees were bent. I would have taken about a .2 deduction for that, and her head was out, so another .1 off. The support she finished in was not horizontal so the start value would be a 9.5. The legs were also apart, so another .1 taken. I would have given her second kip about a .35 tenth deduction as well. From the pause and extra swing I would have taken off about .3 tenths as well. .1 for squat on because she did wobble. Huge bends AND form for the jump to the high bar. I would given both a 3 tenth deduction. The height was about .15 tenths. Plus the little step which was .1 I couldn’t see very well so I did the best with what I could see.
these videos are really great! My daughter sometimes doesn't understand her marks and these are really helpful for her... so thanks.
That's great to hear! We're trying to make the whole judging process easier to understand. Good luck to your daughter!
