I don't really blame him. He was cutting through yards constantly and just driving like a maniac through a residential area.
He did an excellent job up until dude was in custody. I realize the idiot didn't earn any respect but when he's cuffed, that part is done and then the 'friendly" questioning begins.

Seriously impressed by the camera person, who keeps up, along with their equipment! I trained Working Dogs and I could often spot cops in the field, because they'd unconsciously walk with room for a gun/radio/taser, because they had been in it for so long. Pretty sure these are just regular IATSE cam ops, and before dog training I was an IATSE Scenic Artist....these guys are carrying weight! Wonder if they got Haz Mat rates?!

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, There was so much police action growing up as a kid, I loved it.
Fort Worth is an amazing city, spent 3 days there, and i enjoyed every second.
The officer in the first clip sure was vicious and pissed off.
and since the suspect was white, no screams of racism by the fascist america hating left.
We need more like him.

I am reading comments about officer being too rough or showing off but would you feel that way if when suspect was tearing through yards killed a child outside playing in their yard and mom and dad had to bury their child because cops are not taking their job seriously. When I lived out in Texas back during the 1990s, I met Latino cops like that. No-nonsense guys. Good and down to Earth, polite, but no one to mess with.

I wonder how scared these cops wife and kids get when they see this! My dad was a cop and he never brought it home with him or told us any of the scarier stories. He would just tell us about funny criminals being stupid or how he was always saving random animals while he was one his beat He was out hero! 👨✈️

This is so nostalgic. I still remember the 1st time I meet the show. I was bored one night and that’s when my mom decided to watch COPS. I remember getting into it. To this day, I still watch it. Even if they show episodes from back in the day. So cool.

I hate to say this but I can not understand why so many people saying 1st officer was too rough on a man who was driving like a mad man & not concerned if he killed someone driving through yards and up onto sidewalks where children could be. He then jumped out of truck and tried to flee not knowing why and an officer much smaller than him did not even use a taser which would have been justified especially seeing size difference and alone in a back area off main road & no backup in sight. I will say this, If my family was in danger I PRAY I have an officer like Maldonado come instead of some trigger happy scared officer with no ballz letting a criminal get away or allowed to terrorize my family. He handled dude like a man without pulling ANY weapon but his hands. Too rough my azz, you want to act like an animal then you get treated like an animal. We need more officers like that who stand up to criminals and not just shooting them. As a Black man we say cops too trigger happy and ready to riot when this officer took control of situation and still we mad. Maybe we should just defund the police and let the strongest survive!🧐😮💨
