The bin worthy bit is more about really needing the financial support or you're screwed. Lots of rejections means you need to get help from someone who really understands the ins and outs of applying for funding.
How did you find the two people? I've just been rejected which means I have to leave creativity for at least the next few months until I can apply again. I'm devastated but it gives me hope hearing you got the funding the second time
Loads of people get rejected first time round. I found my people through local arts organisations. The arts council could probably point you in the right direction for your area. Good luck!
Videos advice: 1.) don’t apply unless skint, 2.) wastes 30 seconds arguing with Alexa, 3.) ask for help elsewhere, 4.)if you don’t get it apply again! Unbelievable…
Not really, the Arts Council falls under culture spending and this only makes up 1.3% of government expenditure atm. Noting that the 1.3% would be spread across all sorts of culture initiatives, not just the Arts Council
@@izofficiallyme 1.3% is almost a third of the entire UK budget deficit! Think where we could be without wasteful spending like this programme and many others.
Great tips, thanks! I have just started thinking about applying for DYCP and the whole thing is just so intimidating...
Do they ask you to show them where the money your paying yourself is going to be spent for the DYCP?
Entertaining as always, and informative :) Happy Birthday for tomorrow!
Thank yoooooou Mark! 😆🥳🎉
This is so helpful, thank you :) I really am in the bin and READY!
You got this! Go Go GO!
Do lots of rejections make you binworthy?

@@TheveninFr and this kind of thinking is why our culture is in such a mess.
