It's surprising that this game is not more known, the way they integrated 3D elements in the background was impressive, unlike other 3D fighting games of the time it didn't give you the feeling that you were fighting in an empty arena or an infinite horizon, I also liked how the camera angle changed depending on what part of the scenario were the fighters and did it without altering the gameplay.

Gawd, I miss the look of PS1 anime cinemas. My youth just comes back to me. The main character reminds me a bit of Fei from Xenogears.

Samurai Shodown, mainly in 4-5, had some pretty closer ideas to MK. Just not to the point of ridiculous and goofy.
