    I had it and couldn’t dance at a dance convention. A friend saw me and said had it for 5 years when a nurse snuck up on her and said “Get Z-Coil shoes, and they will be gone within a few weeks. “. Worked great.

    I've had it 2x. Stretching the calves will prevent it. I have high arches and also my left ankle I can't dorsiflex fully because of ankle sprains. 1st time I used a night splint but a also built up the arch support on my hiking shoes considerably. I wasn't as active so it healed ok. Rolling the arches with a frozen bottle: don't waste your time.
    I used a night splint for 3mo and it helps. An old large one wouldn't cause pain at night like other night splints. I use a heat pad now before stretching the calves and it's ideal. Croc sandals have arch support so slip them on getting out of bed.

    I had the condition for years and had to give up running and at times could barely walk.I switched to cycling to keep fit, tried stretching, rolling on a spiky ball, acupuncture, steroid injection,shoe inserts tapping all to no avail,but what cured it was persistence with a night splint accompanied with arch strengthening exercises, now at night I don't wear a night splint but try to go to sleep with my foot against the bed end to keep it a bit straighter at night but if it comes back even a little I will definitely use the night splint again.I am now back to running regularly and have been free for several years

      Can i ask you what are arch strengthening exercises? What do you do? Thank you :)

    • @checkthefacts.
      @checkthefacts. ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fakenamefakesurname5005 Simple calf raises are one exercise , but for me quite effective exercises simply imagine trying to grasp an object with your toes and holding the pose for varying times, then releasing and spreading the toes. Also stand on a mat or carpet and slowly raise the toes and arch the feet fully then slowly reverse the action with a few holds until returning to the rest position. This can be more tricky in the more painful acute stage so could be done with less weight in the sitting position then but later is better in recovery period when stronger and less painful. The problem is that with artificial arch support the foot muscles that support the arch get weaker and any activity or muscle engagement of the feet including wiggling spreading the toes to counteract this can help. Our ancestors would have naturally had stronger feet and arches walking bare feet over various terrain engaging all sorts of movement and muscle naturally but we can try to do simple exercises to keep our feet and arches stronger

    I'm from Maldives 🇲🇻 😌 and I too had these in my both feet and right feet worse.
    I am a die hard offshore Fisherman and crazily passionate about almost anything that includes fish 🐟 from salty waters.
    After having immense feet pain started eventually everyday in morning 🌄 made my job as a FedEx courier service guy got a bit affected, so I thought and hoped-for a solution by going out to beach ⛱️ fishing every night 🌙 for 1 to 2 months on bare feet on fine white sand on beach became an unbelievably good solution and the pain is gone...but still sometimes I feel a very mild pain,but it's all OK 👍...atleast for now.
    Hope this helps someone 🙏. Maybe my natural agnostic character is the best natural doctor for my soul n body.

    I had this from wearing old shoes that made my heel slip when I walked. I fixed it by chance. I started to wear Merrell Moab hiking shoes when I went for my daily walk. The shoes are a bit stiffer than regular walking or running shoes and that must have fixed my calf muscle. It worked pretty quicky. I would say in a week or maybe 2.

    Fat-no more Plantar Fasciitis and/or heel spurs pain.

    I've had PF for years. It started in my left foot, and that FINALLY went away. Now, it's in my right foot. I've tried the night sock and the splints, and I just can't do it. After only a few minutes, everything goes numb. In addition, my foot doesn't at all fit properly into the splint once I'm lying down.
    I've tried everything out there, and now, I've been in PT for 2 months because the pain alternates between my right foot and my right lower back. It's a mess. I was told that starting with my next appointment, they're going to have to do some sort of needle therapy. YIKES! Something's gotta give, though.
    If these splints work for you, then that's awesome. They sure didn't for me, though.
