When put in a position of need its much easier to empathize with their pain, mostly why people that are so well off wont help is they are blind to the pain that comes with struggling. Some of the most generous people in the world have nothing for themselves.

Most of the people are struggling but to find a struggling old couple helping the needy that's awesome.
These people didn't hesitate to help a person in need and that's how it should be. So glad they were recognized for that, and should make us all a little more humble and wanting to do the same.

Our mom taught us never say no to food to strangers if they need food or drink. One time in my country we gave a homeless man the last bit of food we had and it was just my mom and us 6 kids. The old man came by a week later with a big sack of food and told her he found a job and he was really greatful for the food . It meant a lot to my mom since my dad was abroad and not making a penny.

My grandad was diagnosed prostate cancer in his 70s, he thought he was fine at first, but it's aggressive and hits hard. RIP grandad. I hope Dick has caught it early and makes a full recovery. I'm in the UK and the NHS paid medical bills. I hope Dick can afford treatment.

Oh, by far the strangers kindness. Giving from what little you have is way bigger thing. This kind of videos show that in this world that seems so crazy (social media being so toxic, and ), most people are good. And it has nothing to do with politics, race or religion. Just being human.
This is a good example how, based on scientific research, a kind act towards another feels the best, and even witnessing the act of kindness still produces the same chemicals in one's body.
It's a weird thing that giving, be it money or your time and effort, is the best feeling you can get. But it's based on evolution. Working together has been the most successful way to live for humankind.
