This was uploaded ten years ago. I hope they have been blessed and joyful throughout those years. I wish the video had been longer as it was very moving.
A beautiful bride, a handsome groom, and members of the family and temple there to help the couple consider the holiness of the ceremony. I am not a Jew, but I am a mother and grandmother, and I would be delighted to see all the children married this way. I’m wishing all there will have happiness and hope they reflect on the sanctity of this day through their years together.

Looks like there wasn't much if any rehearsals before the big day. Here in America we always rehearse at least twice before the wedding day, so every one knows what to do and where to go. All the same.... this was very special. Love the gown.

I love this video and this couple. The rgroom is so tall and confidante add ...and in charge. His bride is about up to his shou,,l. shoulders, barely.. And that itt ....little guy, the Rabbi, Wharton.......what a character love the accent and the humo r. Humor.I just wish. A lot like a Catholic wedding. I have a Catholic uncle and went to his Catholic wedding and it’s so ritualistic. Oh and the length of a Catholic wedding is crazy I didn’t think the priest would ever marry them

Just for once in Montreal, we wanted to hear the kol nidre and not have to stand. But we couldn't afford it, and therefore we were cast out, and had to stand when we couldn't. So we stayed home and fasted and listened to kol nidre on records we had.

It's so he can check she's the right woman before they're married - more symbolically than practically
It’s not a real veil, like you can literally see everything so it’s pointless, it should be covering her entire face, unfortunately we don’t do that anymore
Actually in a jewish wedding putting down a veil symbolizes privacy. It means the groom promises to keep her secrets and thing that happen between the private

The pointer finger and right hand is used to make decisions. Historically it was just the normal finger for Jews to use for signet rings or any ring really while in western culture it's usually the fourth finger.

It is not mandatory in the ceremony, although most choose to do this as it is EXTREMELY symbolic (depicts the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem)..
And to remember that your happyness of wedding is not complit (while you in the diaspora, & remmember in the middle of the ceremony, the 2000 years of distaction of Jerusalem).
All those beautiful candles and not was lit. The bride was beautiful but she shouldn't have had to hold her dress up so she didn't trip over it, should have been altered better.
