    My friends are INTJ and once you get to know them, they are warm kind and have good sense of humor. The mastermind part is just how you understand the importance of planning and risk calculating. I am an ENTJ and I have a lot of things people misunderstood how I am. But for me, we treat people with kindness. These videos are meant to provide more info based on personal experience and not to be used to define anyone.

Some days, I can go through the whole day without noting it until it is time to go too bad, and at this point, I'm just filling empty because I just "did nothing" or "accomplish anything". And then I talk about this with someone, and they just don't understand at all...

    I call it min-maxing. There are times, many times I feel lonely. Then I remember feelings get in the way of the target. It's hard, the multiple outcomes, I do that every day.
    My co-workers right now (relatively new job 1 year), said to me today "You're always problem-solving, even when there are no problems." My retort was simple; "That's why there are no problems, I'm mitigating them out before they arise."
    Great video Jon

      THiS. 💜 Firefighters may get all the glory for swooping in and fixing a problem, but we know it’s far more efficient to mitigate any potential issues/fires from the start. People say that I jump to conclusions. In reality, I’m just really really good at understanding what the consequences will be for each action/decision, so I can usually make the most optimal choice. I try to, anyway, so that all our lives are easier. 😅

      "We need them" .. "Why?"
      Cuz I dunno.. they know stuff and help us smoosh stuff for later better.
      Yeah well that's not really tangible-

    Ni has always been hard to explain for me. When people ask why I am confident about my "insight", I just say "I just know". Explaining how I came up with my conclusions usually doesn't serve me well because I forget that I act based on connecting patterns and people usually dont get it even if you explain it to them.
    Ni is great because it makes you see the world beneath its crust, but sometimes it hinders me to act upon things because I am _scared_ to face reality, foreseeing the hurdles before running the track.

    • @Hollyucinogen

      I use this metaphor to explain Ni to people how I "just know" things: imagine a 100-piece puzzle. The more pieces of the puzzle that get put together, the easier it is to predict what the finished product will look like. If you've only put together 3 pieces, then you won't be able to predict what the final picture could look like; but if you put together 90/100 pieces of the puzzle, then it's easy to predict what the rest of it will look like.
      I'm doing the same thing, except the "puzzle pieces" are little tiny clues that I picked up on subconsciously, but didn't realize the significance of until later. (I'm an INTJ.)

    I absolutely love how you explained INTJ's Ni dreams that Te-Fi-Se work so hard to make Ni a reality. Its just a matter of time. We INTJs achieve our boldest dreams for a reason. Once we have a conclusion on our "whys" and "hows". Nothing can stop us except death. Our abstract dreams seem crazy to some ppl. But it makes perfect sense for us bc we already played out any possible outcome of things in our heads and we make structured plans in the next coming years that's why "we are 10 steps ahead". That's the map that we follow. We just need TIME. Thank you for this video!

    The more you upload, the more thankful I am for your channel. I don’t think I know any INTJ’s in real life, and at first I disregarded the mbti community because of the stereotypes people attached to different types and the community overall, but I stumbled upon your INTJ childhood video and the most misunderstood video, and it was like someone went back in time and explained my whole life. Your videos, The cognitive functions, it all made sense. I’ve never had this much clarity and insight into why I do what I do before, I am incredibly thankful. There is so much value in your videos and your comments, I had to leave a comment. This information is worth more than diamond to a growing INTJ. Thanks a ton man

      I hate the stereotype, too. My INTJ husband has one of the most caring and authentic hearts I know. He does everything with great intentionality to better our life and the lives of those he cares for. He's not cold. He's not calculating. And his sense of humor cracks me up. It's very off beat and random and out of left field, and I love that.
      The stereotypes bother me because I know he is a good guy who uses his plans to help rather than hinder. His only plans for world domination are in the business realm... and even that is intended to help us and others.
      Anyway, I think INTJs are amazing. Ignore the stereotype and keep being your awesome self.
      -an ENFP who also hates her own stereotype of never being able to finish a project, being irresponsible, being only rainbows and sunshine all the time, and being an airhead with nearly no depth. 🤦‍♀️

    That's wild. I'm INTJ and when I was young my mother used to yell at me all the time to "Snap Back to Reality" - but I never understood why she and everyone else around me thought I had some weird bubble around me. When I started research on MBTI I finally got some insight that I'm not the only one who thinks just like I do! RIGHT

    • @m_n_a_b
      @m_n_a_b 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@justcallmejon22 As you said in the video... same for Ne doms. I'm ENFP and it is so difficult to "real world" explain how I came up with 5 possible solutions to a problem that seemingly have no connection to that problem at surface level. It is as though I live my entire life with each problem being a multiple choice question... and I can read all the answers, including the ridiculous ones, and still choose "E: All of the above", because I know they all have merit... especially when some are paired together. I struggle with choosing the best option, though. I can't extrapolate the final outcome and all the steps and variables in between very well. That's where my INTJ husband comes in. He loves the ideas I feed him, and I love that he makes the complex plan from the idea that will bring the best solution, and I simply get to carry it out in bite sized steps (especially since the doing and building of the thing is the part that is arduous for me... I think that is inferior Si's fault, if I'm understanding correctly).
      Anyway, I also live my life in my head... with a cast full of colorful characters sharing their stories with me (and I'm actually typing them out... extremely slowly). I will go entire days without remembering to drink water or eat (when I'm focused in on an interest or project). I will forget how many days it's been since I took a shower, even though I know I freshen up each day. I never see faces in the store, because I simply recognize a body and inanimate objects in the sensory world and I move to avoid them while also keeping my mind engaged with everything I'm pondering. I hone in on what I need to buy, but space back out while moving to the next aisle. Teachers repeatedly told my parents I was daydreaming too much in class while I was growing up. Jokes on them, I made honor roll anyway, and still live in my daydreams as an adult. 😂
      But yeah, it is so difficult to explain how I came up with certain possible solutions when some of them make no logical connection to the original question.
      And now you tell me my husband has the entire multiverse in his head? I always pictured his mind as a super complex machine with thousands of wheels and gears all turning one another. Each wheel or gear is a new factor that impacts all the rest. And if even one wheel goes missing or gums up, the rest stop turning and maintenance needs to be done to overcome the broken gear and switch it out with a new one and a new plan. I think the multiverse analogy is cooler. Maybe this is why he loves Marvel so much... and Inception. And the movie, Live, Die, Repeat.
      Anyway, thanks for an amazing video. After watching it, I understand my INTJ husband a little better... and now know his seemingly incessant questions serve a unique purpose for his mind.

    This was so well done, I couldn't have put it better myself! I can't count the number of times I've felt like the only person seeing how the metaphorical bus is about to hit an oh so obvious wall, and for others to think I'm just being paranoid or making things up because they can't see the decision tree playing out that I saw two steps ago. It really can make you feel like this strange being that doesn't "belong" and has to put on a stage play to act like everyone else which can get lonely.
    Also that Ni-Fi feedback loop is a good "real life" example of what the "cost" of having a super power is for having the ability of relative foresight. Like we can't predict the future, but we can certainly see more variables than most and where they lead, which helps if we have the influence to really steer the ship to try and point it to the best course. But the draw backs... oh boy... Not having enough info, Not knowing if the chosen path is really the "best" path or just the "easiest" path, the dreaded unknown-unknowns, so many things that can just mentally derail you at the most unexpected or worst of times. And that's before the negative loop of feedback kicks in where you can somehow manage to rationalize a miss as being your fault, even when there is realistically no way it could be, because of a spiderweb decision tree that you tracked back to a decision three months ago. 😅
    I wouldn't trade being an INTJ for anything, because some of the funniest, greatest moments have been being able to see a plan play out perfectly as you predicted, and whether it was for the betterment of yourself and/or someone else, you called it. You saw the plan, and navigated it perfectly and it feels GREAT! But like all things it has it's drawbacks and we can truly turn into our own worst enemies and strongest critics. It makes it easier to shrug off when others may try to criticize, but only because there probably isn't anyone that can point out everything I feel I did wrong more than myself.

    I feel so recognised it hurts lol... I'm an INFJ and I often wish I wasn't one because everything you stated in the video is basically my reality down to the park example. It feels like I'm floating in an ocean and just staring at the sky with no clue what's happening and why and how I got there and it makes me feel dissociative at times. Ni-Ti loops for me are extremely hard to tap out of, it takes a whole lot of forcing myself to journal down my thoughts in a brain dump before my mind explodes or just touch some grass and watch the clouds to just ground myself into the reality. The despair I feel for the world around me knowing where we're headed but the constant undying hope for making things right especially in a humanitarian way is a conflict we face over a morning cup of tea sometimes. As an INFJ I legit assumed everyone just thought the same way I did, and that thus they would make bad choices on purpose. It took me a while to realize, some people do not have the natural ability to sit down and think everything through to the end, and do this over and over with all the possibilities. Or even be mean to someone, because they did not even realize that they were being hurtful, because they don't connect the dots of what that person said two weeks ago and what was on the news...
    I feel like I do often change reality for people, but mostly by changing the way people think about things. Which in fact changes absolutely everything.

    I like the clarity of how you express our functions so much. We INTJs need time to mature properly and we’re usually late bloomers, but since we do, almost nothing can stop us. Sometimes I feel the burdens of Ni, it seems like I can’t ever relax or stop worrying about things, even on my free time my mind is working on something

    Thank you for making this video! ✨️ I've been trying to find more information about this side of Ni to make sense of some of the things I've always experienced. Just recently, someone called me out on my lack of time awareness, being indecisive, and stressing over little things.
    Even though...
    I'm not stressing, I'm just processing.
    I'm not indecisive, I just need more time to make a decision.
    And time is... well, irrelevant. 😅
    I am aware of losing time, and I am literally just existing. I get stuck in my mind... This one is probably the most detrimental to people and things in this reality. But for me, I don't feel as though the time was wasted. A lot can be processed during this time warp. 🤯
    It's so hard to explain, and you did it really well! ✨️ I always knew my weird behaviors were because of Ni, but I don't know any other INTJs and a lot of my friends can't even open up to a conversation about this 'weird' stuff. It makes me feel so much better to know I'm not alone! 🙃
    Also, this video was over in 2 mins. I had to watch it again cuz time flew by 🤣

      I actually decided to just be my own boss and am now self employed and MUCH happier now that I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone.

    Yes. Crazy. Narcissistic. Autistic... And- most people CANNOT understand. I have zero spontenaety. I can tell you every detail of my current project, but I cannot- absolutely would have to look to see- which underwear I have on or what I ate an hour ago.
    It really does feel like we don't belong here. It feels like we were PUT here to do something- but with no clues as to what. And special roadblocks have been installed just to test us.
    My entire existence is first in my head, even the smallest choices. It's exactly like you said. It's creating a predetermined end by "If this, then that". The beauty of free will is really just a riddle of consciousness and a lesson in managing our 6 degrees.
    I'm not sure I'm lonely though. After years of pretending to care about the crap people find entertaining, funny, interesting, and so on.... it's nice to just be me. No more boring, dumbing down, seen as weird. Now if someone hates me, it isn't for no reason. I like it that way. Once convicted, you may as well benefit from the crime.
    The Big Five (OCEAN) test is also very interesting. My scores for OCEAN correlate to my INTJ-T scores. A little scary like 0% agreeableness. But, still, very interesting.

    Thank you Jon. My brain felt like it just got a hug. It can be so much fun just to do deep dives in our heads, but the present, physical reality hits us at the same time. Sometimes my brain just goes so fast in so many directions, just to realize I have not moved my physical body or sometimes even forget to breathe. It can be so difficult to be around friends who always want to "live in the moment" so I get drained. I've often voiced out things I thought that will happen and most of the time the outcome that I've said, whether good or bad, ends up happening. However, it does get lonely at times when you know you always try to understand others but no one really gets you or tries to understand you.
    The fact that we cannot turn it off makes me wish there was a pill that shuts off my brain's intuition. But I also don't want to lose this ability and would not think I'm better off without it. It really is a PARADOX.

    Great video! I sent it to my INTJ friend to explain how her cognitive functions work (I wasn't very good at explaining them, since Ni is very foreign to me as an INFP).
    The only point I disagree with you on is the idea that feeling doms automatically have people who will empathize or understand them. I think that feeler-sensors might have this experience, but feeler-intuitives have a similar experience that Inutitive doms like INFJ and INTJ have. Because INFP's have Fi first and Ne second, also get lost in our own world, especially surrounding feelings, past experiences, and the potential of people and society. We don't feel like we belong to the world, only having Te as our tether to physical reality - our weakest function. We have a hard time explaining ourselves and our decisions to other people, etc., etc. Our Fi is so strong and so nuanced, that we often feel like no one can understand how we actually feel in all its complexity (despite our best efforts), so we more often just keep things to ourselves. Our Ne dreams feel so far out of reach, and we get frustrated with ourselves for not being able to "do" things the same way Te doms or aux can. It can be a very lonely existence, and probably why INFP's tend to feel a lot of depression in life (and our Fi let's us know right away that its depression).
    All this to say, you're not alone INTJ's and INFJ's. We INFP's, ENFP's, and ENFJ's feel you. Let's keep exploring the colourful, vibrant, starlit wonders of Intuition together and bring them into the sun. The world needs people who can ❤❤

      I hope my video helps your friend understand Ni a bit better! I agree that INFPs have just as difficult of a time (if not more) than INTJs when it comes down to being part of reality. I believe all introverted types feel that way, it's just different. What I noticed is that INFPs are more appreciated in society i.e have more friends, invited to more gathering, are talked in a more positive manner outside of the MBTI community that thinks all you guys do is go into a corner an cry all day. INFPs, ENFPs, and ENFJs are some of the best ❤

      @@justcallmejon22 Hi Jon, thanks for your reply! You last comment made me laugh so hard lol
      I understand more of what you mean now. Yes, I find that feelers, in general, tend to be thought of more positively in society and more actively included in social situations (though often times it feels superficial). Thinkers have a much harder time being part of the social atmosphere of society, often being harshly judged as antisocial or not needing people at all (which is absolutely not true).
      Having healthy types describe their unique experiences and challenges, like you and your channel, really helps to bridge the gap and clarify the misunderstandings and toxic misinformation out there in the MBTI community. Like the stupid ignorant ideas that INTJ's are heartless robots or INFP's are weak crybabies.

    (infj)I appreciate this video so much. I'm doing a lot of healing work right now and even those that are willing to sit and talk with me about this path just can't really engage in a way that feels like they understand it in the way i do now after 10mo of research, regaining memories, seeing the roots of current issues, anything where somatic work is key for me, etc. i come bk to this video every once in a while kind of for validation that i don't just "think wrong" or "too much/deep" on topics of personal importance. I get a lot of ppl say i "go off on rabbit trails" as well but it's when they dont lete finish weaving the tapestry of the info I'm conveying. It isn't the Ne rabbit trails, it is all focused on making the bigger, universal point. I heard you and Joyce talk about this one time. I have a friend that never actually makes a point or replies to something ive asked by replying in that way (not dissing Ne at all, pretty jelly of it actually, just not in this particular aspect). Anyway thx for making the human side of Ni so viceral. Maybe I'll talk some ppl into listening to it one day and being a bit more patient when i ask questions so that i can complete the assigned task instead of getting caught up trying to not mess it up having less info than needed to feel confident moving forward.

    It feels like living lifetimes and across time. Seeing without and within surface presentations. My self from the future extending my hand to the now. Intense connection. Insatiable appetite for understanding. Cracking codes. Surrounded by metaphor. Frequent revelation. Sometimes it’s as if I have to fight hard to stay grounded in reality or else I’ll float too far away to come home, becoming a vessel for prophecy. It’s scary. It’s overwhelming. It’s overwhelmingly beautiful.
    All of that and I have common problems that demand to be tended to. It becomes a balancing act. I am like glue holding systems and relationships together.

    As an INFJ, this is the single most resonant description of that function I have heard. Every point was so exact. It feels just like that. People will refer others to me for life advice, but others often resent the suggestion. I noticed early on those people willing to listen to try the things I suggested ended up happier and closer to their goals because I listen to what they want for themselves and envision the steps that will move them toward that outcome. I think of my capacity to do this like chess, that idea in "Searching for Bobby Fisher" of thinking twelve moves ahead.
    Trying to explain all of the steps and considerations that went into the suggestion would wear the listener out long before I finished.

    The losing track of time bit is definitely true, I started writing a journal and sometimes I just forget to write in it and one time I thought that it was just one day I missed, but in reality it was 3 days that just because it was the holidays and I didn't have a set schedule for doing certain things I just got lost in thought for days and it's not like I just thought the whole time I was writing poems watching TH-cam and Netflix for hours and played Badminton and went outside in that time but the only thing that remained was thought a eairy feeling of what I thought a blurry memory of the scenarios and possible outcomes that I thought of. They do still help me make decision because my opinions and thought about people change through them but it's just really scary noticing that cometimes my view of a person completely shifts without me even rembering why but just feeling like I made a good and logical decision to feel and think a certain way without knowing why I do so. It's honestly frightening and doesn't make sense for people without Ni but it makes sense to me somehow. I do find myself sometimes remembering those kinds of thoughts through my poems but I still can't remember how I came to some of the conclusions I came to just that I think they're correct.

    Definitely agree that the rest of our functions 'support' Ni to make our dreams into reality but it is also important to remember that dreams don't have to be big or grand. When we're off in our Ni world it may look to an outsider like day-dreaming. But quantum mechanics (through entanglement, observation, and entrainment) provides explanation how our focused intent does, in fact, create the future. I may not *consciously* know that I'm sorting variables and creating a desired outcome but I've lost count of instances of deja vu in my life and it is not deja vu of something from my past that I've forgotten and reexperiencing; it's physically experiencing for the first time something that I intuitively experienced in the past.

    Ni is Lonely, until I was like 18 I legit thought I wouldn’t be able to be open with anyone about my mind (having SF parents), when I was in my early teens I found a niche video game series that just screamed Ni, with a ton of deep elements and lots to think about, turns out the creator was an INTJ which I didn’t find out till years later, it was something that felt like it actually appealed to me and not the typical sensor appealing content that honestly makes life feel pointless to me sometimes, then I met an intp which at the time I wasn’t that into MBTI so I didn’t know right away l, it wasn’t perfect ofc but compared to anyone else I knew I definitely could be more of myself with them. Now that I know about the cognitive functions and seen new communities I know that well at least there are others somewhat like me and those who can vibe with me. I think being able to express Ni can be done most closely through creation, I never been the artistic type as I been a more math and science kid growing up tho I found art neat, so using my more technical side to create things I decided that I want to create video games one day to express Ni, I would have to better my music composition skills and my art skills still but it’s a nice thing to work towards too. I majored in Computer Engineering and i also like creating robots and the creativity and logic that goes into starting from a thought concept and making it a reality from utilizing what I learned. So I am happy I chose that major (also helped with my programming skills for video games). Now I am working toward stability and then being able to express Ni by making video games as a hobby.

    This is great video. Never felt more understood. It's just hard to explain how your mind works. You get deeper and deeper, like living on a trance all the time. I had phases too when I hoped I could get myself out of slump. Getting over things easily as it is. Getting comfortable when things don't go as planned (years planning). Getting stuck into Ni-Ti over and over when I thought I was right and things still go wrong and it ended up changing people dynamics, destroyed relationships. It's ripple effect in your mind and you will feel responsible for knowing but powerless to prevent it. It sucks. Heck it sucks! Sometimes I wish I do not know. Sometimes I wish I don't see. It's too hard for us to be honest with ourselves, because we question whether it's appropriate, and we hold other people to Fe expectations too, but this time Fi being subtle and not overwhelming is comforting. I'm over emotional consolation, I need things to make sense why it happens for real. I hate the feeling of just accepting things falling apart and having no power to change it.

    I'm questioning whether I was typed correctly as an INTJ because I like to talk to people, but only: a) To learn new things b) To talk about my favorite subjects and future possibilities c) If my gut tells me that the person I'm talking to is someone who partially understands me. Nevertheless, I get my energy from spending time alone, social gatherings that go over 2,5 hours drain me like squeezing a lemon to make a lemonade.
    When reading my law textbooks, my mind processes the information I acquired instantly, guessing already "how the story continues", and often times, I am right. I zone out at least 657 times every day, so that the people who are around me tell me to wake up or snap back, because I'm constantly contemplating future scenarios or synthetizing what information I've acquired. I also have terrible short term memory, but I'll remember what you said 15 years ago for example. Despite me being relatively talkative, I'm still socially awkward with little understanding of the emotional signals people, but I think I can read body language fairly well. Also, I plan everything and spending time with spontaneous people makes me extremely anxious, because I need to feed my (I guess Ni?) with input so it can spit out the best way to approach planning a trip, buying a bicycle, doing some task etc. Finally, even though I recognise patterns everywhere, especially in languages, I find it hard to express myself without rewriting or reevaluating every sentence. I feel deeply misunderstood and nobody really knows me, even though I have a small friend group, who I love and appreciate, but I always hang out only with 1 or max 2 people at a time. Even this is draining over 2,5 hours.
    I would be thankful, if you could share your thoughts what I wrote.
    I wish to thank you from the core of my heart for your final words, it described my dreams and goals so well.

    Thank you! This is the best description of Ni I've found so far, and I've done a lot of searching. At one point, you mentioned Ne as being similar, and yes, as an ENFP, Ne gets it. We're aliens from yet another planet. Also, personally, I think my time lapses are generally shorter than those of Ni users, with a much broader range of possibilities, but they don't go anywhere near as deep.

      @msmeenk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justcallmejon22 Talking to the shell is fine. Once it's finished, I can usually play back whatever was said during that time lapse, and then respond to it. Maybe a benefit of Ne being external, one of the possibilities I'm seeing is reality where you're talking. Or.. I'm not sure how it works, maybe it is just a part of Ne, but I seem to have some form of parallel processing. I was observing myself reading a book the other day because I was curious about what I was doing when I was reading, where my eyes were focusing, whether I was reading line by line, etc., so I.. split my focus somehow and observed myself. I tried to comment on it to a family member as I was doing it, though, and my words came out as garbage, so that was just too much. 😆

    I like how you said we do not have the ability to build a new future but have the ability to build toward a new future given a current status of things. It is so true, I am not creative in the way of making but in the way of remaking. System inputs are needed before for something new can come forth. It is a great gift and It is also a curse because we can see the underline issue but at the same time realize it can never be changed. That is why we change careers and life directions so drastically. It also prevents us from trying things and allowing the probability to operate. Those without Ni just open the box not worrying if the cat is dead or alive. We never open the box because we cant control or see all the variables in the box.

I've always thought it was because of my inferior Se , but this makes so much more sense ! I struggle to keep up with reality and i've experienced the exact same things you said ! (Days pass by without me realizing it ! ) Can you please make a video about how to improve as an Ni dom? At least to feel less alienated and more present to actually experience life ! Because it's scary when i think that i'm constantly running after a vision in the future and missing out on the real thing that's happening right now..

    Since i don't use Ni i needed to do a bit more with my imagination to truly understand what's going on here... Ni is like converging and Ne is like- diverging... you just gave me Sherlock Holmes feel there. It feels like my Ne only delivers variables and only that which tells what can happen rather than what might happen.... Ni way of narrowing down the possibilities is very awesome. And the manipulation part? Well no wonder why you guys are called Strategists....... INTJ living in future is somewhat like INFP living in our head... so i can’t relate with the practicality of it but i do know the "losing the track of time" part.... and i think i don't know how the reality Ni create looks like but i know the imagination of an INFP and it's beautiful- and i think the satisfaction i get from it is something Ni dom might feel but then comes the uncontrollable factors... while i think it was quite easy for me to believe that i can’t do anything to flip it INTJ might actually feel like... like if they had all the chess pieces in their hands things could have different- better. I think imagination is the only thread keeping me connected with your words (and world) being an Fi i always things in a depth words can’t fathom.. it feels like there is no way of actual expression and eventually the will to express dies. And we feel like our emotions is our own to deal with.. in that sense i feel lonely so yeah "i don't exactly know how but i can correlate"
    I would never dare say that INTJ are overthinking if you put it like that (even if you don’t i am the last person to have the right to say that). I think sometimes it’s better to live in your head but you guys have the potential to make it a reality and salute you for that very quality!❤❤

    • @justcallmejon22
      @justcallmejon22  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're doing a fantastic job of relating to Ni-doms! Everything is really just in our head and similar to how Fi-doms are able to access emotions that most people can't fathom, Ni users imagine realities that most people will never be aware of. It's a bittersweet feeling but the beauty of being an INTJ is that we'll never stop trying to create the reality that we believe to be the best for ourselves or the ones we love 🙂

    • @ColorfulMixx5318
      @ColorfulMixx5318 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @justcallmejon22I think i get that "bittersweet" and it is kind of poetic of you to say that "people will never be aware of" .... you guys are trying to narrow down stuff to the point where your utopia may come in existence..... I kind of can imagine it because when i see tiny conflicts , any heated arguement- whatever that exist can be adjusted through a bit more.. understanding? here and there.. but that always ends with, "if they would try to understand"... my cousin told me i can adjust with people who, let's say, are pessimistic and "endure" it well.... point is i just empathize with what's going on in their heads and there is never an "altercation that leads to divisions " or whatever... the harmonious environment that i envision- "if they would think that way" is kind of like yours "if they would do that way" as i comprehend it- like you guys might manipulate and make it happen but even you guys can't control each variable... but like you said we would never stop and may we never stop.

    You just romanticized Ni to me, and I feel as though I do get it.
    I’m INFP. I’ve taken a test that says I’m high Fi and high Fe as well as high Ne and high Ni. Ofc, highest in Fi and Ne. No idea how effective and accurate that test is, though.
    But I was just thinking minutes before I watched this video how I can see the future based on enough variables. I can make often quick predictions based on certain variables and see imagery in my mind’s eye how it would play out.
    And I relate to asking questions to understand my variables to draw an outcome.
    I often get sad about my relationship I had with my ex-bf because I could see how happy and fulfilled we would have been had he not done certain things out of insecurity. It plays like a movie. Staying would have enabled him to just abuse my forgiveness as I wouldn’t be able to uphold boundaries because he couldn’t respect them. So my only option was to leave and abandon us because his poor choices made it impossible to peacefully coexist.

    I am trying to type my friend who i always believed is an intj because he is always obsessed with things like religion topics, what is the end of the world, etc. And he had mentioned that he is aware of things that people don't usually see and he talks about how he feels like an outcast in this world. Yesterday, I briefly told him about MBTI. He said he have done those tests and the result was istj, so I asked him questions about Ni, saying do you sometimes see some kind of 'image' in your head? But he said no, he said he is not imaginative. And I asked do you like to keep traditions or do new things? And for that he say he likes to keep things moving.
    He also has this tendency to pay relatively little attention to the environment surrounding him. He mentioned before he don't understand the joy in just eating good food, shopping etc (basically sensory activities). However he's profession is Music.
    I'm like super confused now 😂😭😵‍💫 Is he a intj or istj?

    • @justcallmejon22
      @justcallmejon22  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ISTJ and INTJ look very similar on the outside because we share the same two middle cognitive functions in the same order. Learn more about the difference between Ni and Si and it should become clear. It's not about thinking about the future persay, it's more the process we take to arrive to our conclusion because Si users do consider the future and Ni users do care about certain traditions. We both have Te as our second function so efficiency in food and tradition in doing certain things are important to us because it's the most efficient. Good luck on your journey in typing him ✊

    I thought I was low IQ for years, because of all the Ni things you described after 9:00 mark. Both my parents were sensors. It took years to figure out my strengths.

      If it makes you feel any better, I still think I'm low IQ 🙃

    Thank you for this video. It's really hard to describe what is going on in my head most of the times... and I don't know whether everyone understands your explanation, but I feel well represented... and the Ni Fi loop during Covid was horrible because there were so many things we couldn't change and the outcome was mostly grim.

      Thank you and you're not alone in that feeling, my friend 🙂
