ED2 Group 03 - Final Video Presentation - FAU 2024

Millions of people are affected by flooding every year. FloodSense provides a low-cost solution by predicting flooding through weather patterns and IoT-connected flood sensors designed to measure and analyze water levels and displaying real-time data on a web-based interface. These sensors are connected to a central gateway (router) using the LoRaWAN protocol and send MQTT messages containing distance readings to AWS where the data is processed using Telegraf, stored in an InfluxDB database, and visualized using Grafana. Designed for flexibility and scalability, our long-term goal is to have multiple FloodSense sensors deployed in Broward County, enhancing community resilience against flooding.
