Most people's concern isn't that she's not Black. It was the fact she never claimed Black like Obama did. Obama has always claimed Black with White. Kamala Khan has always claimed Indian (from India) American.
Kamala went from being the 1st Indian American Senator to being the 1st Black Vice President. Why the switch, because she didn't have a positive track record with Black issues like Biden. Democrats know that 93-98% of Black voters vote Democrat. When Trump ran in 2016, it started to shift. In 2024, the Black vote is shifting drastically. Hence, the reason I believe Biden dropped out and endorsed Kamala. Kamala is supposed to help keep the Black vote on the Dems side.

It doesn't have as much power as you think due to it inevitably being up to the electoral branch. I'm more so voting this go around for history sake so that my daughter's and their future daughters can see it's possible to hold that position.

I just had to tell my man, I lived in LA in the 90's during the riots and all.
It's deeper than just doing her job. There were some things Kamala did that wasn't ethical. One of those things, Kamala was accused of trying to get a man executed without evidence. She even blocked it. It was an argument made by then-VP Biden and Congresswoman Tulsa.
While Kamala tried to put Biden under the bus about busses, Biden used her unethical practices. Yet, they were a match made in heaven as Pres and VP 2020 because they essentially have the same racist values.
And this is part of the problem, in order to uplift Kamala many are going to throw Black people under the bus. The common narrative is, "well you shouldn't have been doing what you was doing." 1)How is that a way to inspire Black men to vote. 2)It wasn't just Black men Kamala was throwing into prison, go ask Cheree Peeples, an unambiguous, mono-racial, low-income Black mother who simply wanted to take care of her daughter with sickle cell ended up in prison behind Kamala's policy. People won't even hold Kamala accountable for that to make sure she doesn't do some foolishness like that again. No one is demanding that Kamala adopt a Black agenda, and I don't think Black men are willing to be bullied into voting this time, and quite frankly, they shouldn't be.

Thank you Funky for using your platform to address the Harris ticket. The only thing I want to hear from Black folks about Kamala is how you plan to vote for her. Whatever issues you have with Kamala's history, lineage or husband...the Democratic ticket is the best option we have against what the GOP has planned with Project 2025 and the Supreme Court. Not voting is not going to hurt anyone but us. I'm a registered Independent who is fiscally conservative but I have to look at what overall is better for the future my children will inherit and if Trump gets into office...the things his administration will do will impact us for generations to come.

I live in Chicago and the video shows the women that was shot was not in any danger. He was very far away from that women when she was getting her hot water from the stove. My personal opinion when she said “ I rebuke in the name of Jesus”. She must have felt that bad spirit. They fired the officer. It hurt my heart to see that video. All the evidence was on that video and he was wrong.
