    I had the Kimber.
Nice looking pistolbut I didn't like it much.
    Sold it.
I now have the Ruger Security 380.
    Love it !!!!
It has the ten and fifteen round mags.
    I like that !
So much better than the Kimber.
Kimber was not easy to break down and reassemble.
    The Ruger is so easy.

I'm glad you mentioned the larger size and heavier weight of the Ruger Security 380. To me that is an advantage. Its easier to grip and the added heft helps my accuracy.

I have both! The Ruger and the Kimber. The Kimber is way better by far.Its easy to break down and clean and it's true out to 100 -125 ft.

0:01 Yeah everyone who spends twice as much for a gun always tell themselves the more expensive one is better but in this case its BS. The Ruger security 380 is way better esp in cleaning and breakdown. One pin and it's ready to clean. The kimber is a pain in the ass . Just proves more expensive is nt always better. I love my Ruger 380 and wouldnt trade it for 2 kimbers.

A buddy of mine retired law enforcement officer bought the Ruger Security light rack 380 and loves it. $319 taxes and background check. Me and another buddy bought the Ruger Security 380 for $318 taxes and background check. I got there 10 rd mags and a hogue finger grip. My buddy got the 10&15 rd mags. I will order some 2 pack 15 rd mags also. The Ruger is a great weapon. I think the Ruger Security line of weapons are great weapons. Good video

Great unbiased review. You were spot on about the Ruger and how great it is.

15 vs 6 is just a tad bit of difference

Short spring changes may be attributed to the "Lite Rack" feature of the gun.

He prob should have compared the Kimber to the Glock Model 42 (I think), both in .380. They're about the same size. I can shoot my Kimber fairly well but could not hit the side of a barn with my Ruger. Don't know why.

That Kimber is a beautiful gun. Have you shot a Sig P238 which is more similar to it? If so how does the recoil compare? The Kimber didn't look bad at all. Thanks for the review.

I've not shot the P238 yet, but a friend of the channel has offered to let us borrow one for a future review, so we might eventually be able to add that to the reviews 380 list.

The DNR has some excellent manned facilities here, and the range officers they have are extremely knowledgeable. As far as public ranges go, they are among the best around. Clean. Well kept. Safety First. Awesome facilities that I highly recommend, which is why I put their links in all my videos as a paying customer. Good, safe ranges are a luxury most people don't appreciate until they don't have one they can easily go to.

There are no SAAMI specs for either .380 +P or anything in +P+. I don't think that it is necessarily that manufacturers are trying to limit liability, but that there is literally no way for them to design a gun around cartridges that do not officially exist. Any (properly made) +P+ cartridge will be below proofing pressures, so it is unlikely to blow the gun up, but it will add a lot more wear and tear than the gun was designed to handle
