      Thanks. It is not based on any one book. But for basic assumptions, you may consult Factor analysis by Guilford & Fruchter. The book of Gorsuch named factor analysis

    The computation of specific variance and error variance is dependent on reliable variance. Dear sir I could not understand how to calculate the reliable variance please explain and obliged to you

      Reliable variance = 1 -error variance.
      If one has estimate error variance, the reliable variance can be obtained using above formula
