He definitely came a long way, I love hearing him sing these classic Stevie songs, I'm glad he found his niche and is being true to himself making the music he want to make.
"Okay" my entire ass! He was a boss then and is a boss now. The NERVE of these people to act like anybody can sing like this. Never ask anybody if they think you're awesome. Just be awesome.
I remember I loved this performance and was upset he got eliminated. My wife was like “I mean he’d be good singing at a barbecue or karaoke, but he’s not American idol”. Glad to see he’s successful now, when Lucky Daye came out, I was like “this dude is underrated”. Amazing to realize this is the same dude.
he was such a baby back then 🥺 I think the judges were very unfair and he looks a bit sad and disappointed about it... I’m glad of where Lucky Daye is right now, he’s one of my favorite singers
I feel like he could've been in a difficult place back then. Maybe that affected his singing. 🤔 Whatever it was, I'm glad he persevered cause BAY-BEH look at him now! He's an inspiration!❤

Omg lucky is from here (n.o.), it explains the vibe, I can't deal but that does explain his talent, at least he's with a great label. Music bizz is shady. I can listen to his albums all day❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The judges may have been harsh but u need that to be great. Now we have LUCKY DAYE!!! He making more money then all them now 💖💖💖💖💖 Paula was right he needed to perfect his craft, he learned voice control and now he a beast!!!!
Fantastic xoxox such a great version. Judges here suck and here are deaf and dumb. Such stupid comments to his vocal mastery (now he has 4 grammy nominations and is known as Lucky Daye.)
He has a great voice but that musical arrangement was corny and horrible. Didn’t complement his tone either, throwing him off. For me, this song is best sung without music or simply a piano and let the rawness of the lyrics be felt.
I just realized I’ve never seen Paula Abdul sing raw vocals live or acapella before, how’s she even a judge? Lucky daye is much more talented, Paula is just popular and Whitney Houston was right .
@@Ehlaar he’s off key and pitchy. I don’t know what else would make a vocalist bad. I like seasoned lucky daye this young man had work to do. I’m happy he did the work.
Years later and he's Grammy Nominated in 4 categories.. Look at God!!! Sanggg Lucky Daye
Now he's a Grammy Winner.
GRAMMY WINNER!

All is fair in love
Love's a crazy game
Two people vow to stay
In love as one they say
But all has changed with time
The future none can see
The road you leave behind
Ahead lies mystery
But all is fair in love
I had to go away
A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair
All of fate's a chance
It's either good or bad
I tossed my coin to say
In love with me you'd stay
But all in war is so cold
You either win or lose
When all is put away
The losing side I'll play
But all is fair in love
I should have never left your side
A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair
A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair
Wow look at Lucky. He still look the same and still handsome.
This performance been in head since since I first saw this episode live!!!
