      That custom button shortcut is not at all intuitive!! Having to type out the full commands in that way is very odd…. Glad the video was helpful!

    Thanks! This was super helpful! I do video podcasting on Zoom and it just occurred to me I could use my streamdeck to make it look more professional, like toggling view and cameras 🙏

    excellent tips, thank you! I have been using my Stream Deck with Zoom but there were still lots of tips in your video, so thank you! 2 additional tweaks that I have used are a multi-step for unmuting & taking down my raised hand (which I use often 😊), & a Stream Deck button for thumbs up (using a KBM macro that clicks on reactions picture). keep up the excellent work!

      Thanks for your kind words. I’m really glad you found the video useful! That is such a great idea about getting KBM to click on the reaction picture…. I’ll definitely be programming that one! Thank you 🙏😊

    Thanks Alec! 2 questions… can you set Stream Deck up with zoom so you could toggle between a powerpoint share screen and stop share seamlessly so I could show a slide, talk to it, then quickly go back to me talking to camera then back to the slideshow? And if so, do you do a consultation where you could show me how to set it up??

    I still have a question: Isn't there ANYWAY to get shortcuts to the "comments" bar when I am sharing the screen???
    This is exactly what I am really missing!

    Is there a shortcut to allow a button to share the second camera? It’s not in the Zoom shortcuts list. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    Many thanks for your video. Wanted to ask what is the hotkey for function like "Starting a meeting" since the Zoom plug-in or the Zoom hotkeys list seems not to have the hotkey for this function or the 4 functions in the starting page of Zoom.

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Having reviewed the shortcut list for PC vs Mac it does appear that these four functions in the starting page of Zoom are not available via shortcuts, whilst on Mac they are. support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/205683899-Hot-keys-and-keyboard-shortcuts

    Great! Is there a way to automagically and directly bring in a specific screen share item (ex. TH-cam tab from browser)??? The screen share function/button only brings up the main screen share screen and it takes quite a number of keystrokes and clicks to get right into a browser tab.

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, I don't think that there is a way to share a specific window or tab with one action, so you will need to select the relevant window each time. In settings you can switch off the ability to share windows so that each time it will default to sharing the entire desktop, but this is obviously the opposite of what you want!! It does seem that at the moment this is the limit of the control you have over default screen share settings.
      I myself use Ecamm Live as a virtual camera and then share my screen through Ecamm Live, rather than the built in Zoom screen sharing,... in this way I can set up my scenes in advance to share a specific portion of the screen or app and then the switch from main camera to screen sharing is instant.

      thank you, ReputationMage-exactly what I'm looking for, too. I was hoping I could use Streamdeck to program buttons to show a particular software window or even a particular desktop (I have multiple monitors) instead of having to choose one everytime you share. I want to be able to toggle back and forth from my live camera feed to a content slide but I've not found a way to do it yet. Seems to be a Zoom limitation, maybe?
      @TakeOneTech, do you know if there is anything that will enable easy toggling between a shared screen and a live camera feed?

    Good video but should be very clear at the front that the keyboard shortcuts of the plug-in only works on Mac not Windows

    Can the Zoom plug-in "Custom Shortcut" works with Window10? Since I type in Alt+H for example, it does not have the Chat window open. It does have some information regarding Mac OS. Please advice. Many thanks in advice!

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The keyboard shortcuts for Mac will in some cases be different to PC and I use MAc exclusively. However if you go into the Zoom app settings, there is a section called shortcuts that lists all of the zoom shortcuts. You can also find them here: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/205683899-Hot-keys-and-keyboard-shortcuts

    It's ridiculous there is no shortcuts for changing back and forth with the mouse and the draw tool FFS

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree and in general there a quite a few missing shortcuts - such as presents for sharing a specific screen and toggling on and off with a single click rather than just a shortcut to bring up the screen share options. I tend to do all of this kind of stuff with Ecamm Live on the Mac.... enables me to setup custom screen sharing configurations and also do on screen telestration using an Apple Pencil on an iPad, thus bypassing a lot of Zooms somewhat awkward methods of doing things. Like I said though, I agree it would be nice if Zoom had more comprehensive shorts though! :-)
