  • Everybody tuned in to start of the queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration. From Trooping the Colour to the Platinum Pageant Parade, it seemed like all of London was in attendance to celebrate Her Majesty's 7th decade on the throne. But one person didn't seem to be afflicted with royal fever quite as much as everyone else - and he's a royal himself! Young Prince Louis was on hand with his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, for many of the Jubilee events, where cameras caught him fidgeting, playing, and basically acting like a typical four-year-old. One particular viral moment even caught the young royal throwing a tantrum. Here's a look at Kate's reaction to Prince Louis' Platinum Jubilee tantrum.

I think Kate handle as best as she could considering everything was being filmed. I don’t understand how the 2’s became the “terrible two’s.” I have six kids and believe me, it’s the “ferocious fours!”They become very independent and demanding at that age and hard to handle. Kate did great!

After working in a preschool with 3,4 and 5 year olds, I can attest to the observation that in many cases 4 is much worse than 2!
And I'm surprised that no one mentioned the big hug and cuddle between the 2 of them at the end.

So glad to hear positive comments about this little guy and his mother's response. He is a child. He was at adult events for a long day(s), wearing down and natural outcome for a 4 yr old. • @linda8is
      @linda8is 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@sakitoby1581 Very few preschoolers can sit still for any length of time. They simply need to move. It's unreasonable, then, to expect any preschooler to sit through a pageant or parade, a feature-length movie, an elaborate meal, or an entire sermon. At this age you can count on about four minutes of sustained, high-quality attention, such as playing with a toy on his own or looking through a book by himself before he wants to take a brief break or do something else. By adult standards a preschooler's endless energy can look like bad behavior, which it is not!

@@linda8is Absolutely agree w/you, but his rude gesture (hand on mom's mouth) specifically tells me he's disrespectful and that it's likely an established pattern within the family dynamic. Go to any Walmart, you see it all the time. Normal tantrum esp under these circ, yes I can understand that, and I think all that you said is accurate. But putting hands on his mother like that is very rude and telling. It's violating her physical person, much like when bratty children (older than babies) hit their moms when angry. It means he knows he can push certain boundaries that even at 4 yrs old, I knew not to cross and would've gotten spanked for trying--not that I or my siblings would've dared. To me that's not ok. It doesn't mean he's destined to be a murdering psychopath, haha, it just means he's a brat still, and they need to work on teaching him to respect his elders. Which I actually think they will. I have compassion for them, I just think he's a little monster right now. Time will help. They'll get it done, because the monarchy thing will weigh heavily on this poor kid as he grows. He'll catch up eventually. But right now, he's a brat.

However...no child should be able to get away with being disrespectful to a parent--restlessness, fidgeting, mugging, getting up and down are understandable, but being rude and nasty is not acceptable nor should it be tolerated (which apparently it has been or he would not have done it this time.) She should have picked him up and marched him inside for one of those 4 minute time outs.

@@selmahare I think it's typical, my opinion only but I think it could've been almost predicted.
      1. He's the "baby". There is something to be said about birth order.
      2. There were a couple things his two older sibs went that he did not. He's at the age where you
understand that the older you are the more you can do, you want to be like the big kids. Some events
just aren't appropriate for kids, some for young kids and Louis still needs more sleep so especially for
such a hectic weekend skipping to many naps is lighting a fuse.
      3. His brother got to dress like Daddy. Kids are people too and when they feel the resentment of being
treated like a baby, never get to do anything, nothing seems fair. All normal, part of socialization.
Sibling rivalry can make for funny stories as adults but at the time the injustice of a nap your sibs don't
have to take feels as real as when you are grown. That anger is going to show itself. As a mother your
job is to teach your kids that anger is normal, it needs expression. However, they have to learn how to
do it so they don't end up shooting themself in the foot, don't cut off your own nose to spite your face.
Lastly, never, ever, ever, never, ever embarrass your mother in public.😉

LOL. This boy needs to spend some time with the Grimwade gang. Those kids are amazingly respectful, polite, and well mannered. They have a 3 year old boy who knows how to act and is much more mature than Louis. A child's behavior is a reflection of the parenting style. This kid was behaving like a 2 year old. For him to be outdoors exposed to so many very interesting activities (i.e. planes, parades, cheering, etc...) and behaving this way is not age appropriate. I could understand if he was listening to a speech or something like that...this behavior would be undersandable.

I never had the world watch as I had to address my children when they were out in public….. that in itself is an incredible stressor, let alone all the media scrutinizing your every move as you attempt to lovingly calm your child down. Four years olds are notoriously observant and expressive, and are taking in so much information that they need to take their breaks and have their naps to digest everything. When they get put in situations like these all day 4 day pageants, then you can expect these behaviors. Kate was loving, calm through it all. Good grief….these royal members should be Congratulated for having normal healthy children. Princess Diana would be so proud! These kids are completely relatable.

@@emma647 there's definitely some difficulty with two year olds. Some of that is to be expected because we're teaching them. I'm just saying that my experience and things I've seen is three-year-olds trying to gain independence and do what they want have been more difficult than two year olds. Maybe it seems more difficult with two-year-olds because we're actually teaching them for the first time what is and is not acceptable. I didn't mean to sound like there aren't challenges with two-year-old I'm just saying I feel that three-year-olds and my experience has been the most difficult. But I have to respect what other people say about their experience with two-year-olds as opposed to three-year-olds. One of the hardest things I had with my two-year-olds was when waiting in a doctor's office or some other place where you have to wait and they don't want to just sit in a chair or in your lap they're always squirming to get down and run around. But their cuteness really outweighs their determination to not just do what you expect them to do. Once they start walking it's a whole new ballgame LOL another age I have problem with within my own family and others are children who are 8 and 9 years old and become defiant. Between their constant talking and feeling like they should be able to do what they want. I found this a just when they really start talking back. There was a male grandchild that I had frustration and sometimes mad at him starting at 2 years old and that went on for years until he got older. But then his mom had never disciplined him, put him in time out and literally let him run wild.
