    I’m very happy and excited that I have come across your channel!
    I’m been doing a little T-Shirt stuff for a few months, and my plan has always been to use single color transfers just like what you’re doing!
    Thanks for giving all the information on using a company to make the transfer sheets. However, for single or small projects, I would like to make my own transfer sheets.
    Can you recommend a printer that’s prints white?
    Everyone or every printer company I talk to seem to don’t know what I’m talking about!
    Can you help me please?

      shadows and gradients require halftone artwork. screen printing with any color has to be set up for that specific printing process. digital prints can be printed with gradients/shadows from a rastar file.

    Great information. I still don’t know what kind printing I wanna do… This might be a dumb question, but does plastisol heat transfer feel the same as a traditional screen print? I like a slightly rough feel on the design vs plastic feeling vinyl type.

    • @BigBrandoh
      @BigBrandoh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that rough feeling is from the off contact created by the screen lifting off the shirt. personally i hate that feeling. but screen printed transfers dont have that feeling. it doesnt feel like vinyl either. i have comparison videos on my channel. showing the differences and also the difference in weight as well.

    My first order just shipped from transfer express. I went with goof proof for my first time, the print is white going on black shirts, what’s the difference in applying goof proof vs hot split? It’s looking like it’s gonna be a repeat customer should I switch it up to hot split on the next run or just use goof proof so the customer gets a consistent product? Thinking I should wait until they decide to go with a new design before I switch to hot split.

    • @BigBrandoh
      @BigBrandoh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      are you considering switching to hot split because of this video? what made you go with Goof Proof for this order? Application instructions is different between the 2. different settings. finished product is different aswell but its all personal preference. feel and look will be based on you and your client. if they like it, stick with it. as the business owner, you have to make the decision on which one you prefer or which one you like working with.

    Quick question...
    I watched your vid on how to get the right settings for transfers and doing the wash tests and once i picked my ideal settings, when I scale up to an actual design it doesn't hold up and lifts on a few areas. Any recommendations or suggestions on what I made me doing wrong? ( I'm using white Econo V, same press you have, pre pressing shirt, no teflon, 310 temp, 11 sec, heavy press at 47 psi)

    • @hwrida
      @hwrida 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, get a laser thermometer and makeale sure your platen is heating up somewhat evenly. Not a problem usually with new presses but you never know.

    • @CC-sd1mr
      @CC-sd1mr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hwrida Thanks! I do have a laser temp gun and did have to initially recalibrate the HeatPress. But is it normal to get different temp reading on different areas of the plate?

    • @hwrida
      @hwrida 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CC-sd1mr I was told by Heatpressnation customer service that it was ok for it to fluctuate from 5 to 10 degrees across the platen.
      I've never used transfers so I'm not familiar with the pressing. I know when using vinyl, if you don't apply enough pressure that happens too. One of the other basic things too is you don't want to use a shirt that's been washed already they say, because there could be fabric softener in it and I guess that's not good when trying to make an image adhere to it. I'm not sure about that but it's just something I've heard
