      Ahh yes, we can see so much better than the ref when the video is slow down and zoomed in

      @@FunkyRay2012 They also see the replay and if the referee sees a fault they can overule what was called. But if they called something by mistake and it happen to not be the case, they have to replay the point. That's in the rule book.

      What a nonsense. I agree with the open hand, but no net fault in the following point.
      At the end it still would be 15:13 for Germany if you count 1 point for Norway for the open hand.

    Really bad play from the ref in the tiebreak. And I say it as german.

      Are you referring to the play at 12:11 Germany? Because that is the only call debatable. The one right after was just announced wrongly. And in my opinion one call can go wrong all of the time even though it is unfortunate. Also you are making this look as if it was all the refs which is hugely discrediting the work Thole / Wickler put in.

      @@FredoMadison It's not debatable, it's flat out wrong. And for a point that would make it 12-12 instead of 13-11 in a 15 point set, that is incredibly impactful. We were robbed from a more exciting end.

      why because they got crushed in the second set and then couldn hold their sideout with their 2 break lead at the begining of the 3 set

      @@7Lothar7 No, because they weren't able to stay impartial in the 3rd set. One miss called with the open hand tip and the bad net call from the 2nd referee should have be replay cause of a wrong call. Those are written in black and white in the Beach Volleyball rulebook.

    That faul at the end by wickler...its so disapointing to see them lose like this...so sad...

      Looking back at that play, there wasn't much of a push; it almost looked like simultaneous contact. If it was, then it's completely legal for him to wipe it off the block. The question is was there a gap between Wickler touching the ball and Anders' block.

      @@lucassands1346 and i think we all know that when things get tight the vikings usually stand up and go for the win, i dont know if i can blame the first referee on that ball because of the way that anders had his arms...but the second referee should have called that...and they cant even challenge that type of play, im a huge HUGE fan of tge vikings and i hate to see them lose even more in a worlds championship like this

      Since there was simultanious contact above the net, NOR could have called challenge for "no block touch". It would then be called out of the team (GER) on the opposite side

    Norway will come back and have their second chance hopefully with a more careful referee this time. What a shame. It could have been a different result if referee wasn't blind or Wickler was honest.

    Why is everyone talking about the refereeing ? There was only 1 clear mistake at the end of the 3rd set. The win of germany was totally deserved if you look at the whole game

      ​@@pppdddqqqbbb It was a great game all around, but a missed call in the 3rd set that made the score 13-11 vs 12-12 on top of mentally frustrating the Netherlands team completely swayed the outcome of the match. It still could have gone either way, but this call and the timing of it was definitely unfortunate.

      you probably don't play competitive or pro volleyball or any other competitive sports for that matter. Have you heard of momentum shifting in a game??? The point was so crucial and it was in the third set and towards the end of the last match, and it wasn't hard to call, the commentator saw it. No one is perfect >> referee... buuuut both teams played hard and it doesn't matter, it's over but opinions has to be weigh in at the end. German won :) good game end of the story.

      He did not "lozanul"....lol...he basically set up a final for Krasilnikov against a weaker team. Got Mol upset about that point- and that get in to his head. Care i to mention- ref is RUSSIAN🤔🤔🤔

      Если Андерс стал конючить очко, это не значит, что рефери лажанул. Назови ошибку там? Я не заметил, да и тяжело ему было, на другой стороне всё рассмотреть. Челендж всё расставил на свои места.

    It sucks when such games are judged by one person's mistake. Why didnt the ref ask for a challenge himself? Too much pride? Congrats to the ref for the win. He was flawless until then though...

      The rule doesnt allow Challenge for this situation because It depends on interpretation

      @@lucaspirolli7448 They referee can ask for challenge when they want and for the net call by "mistake" they have to replay the point. It's ritten black & white in the rule book.

    So the ref totally missed that call but what I don't understand either is that he never called any of Wickler's hand sets. They should really be a bit more strict on the fivb tour with the sloppy hand sets imo.

      2Swift4u play it frame by frame. i counted at least 3 sets that were soooo obviously lifts. disgusting levels of lift

    3:15 : you can touch outside the antenna... BUT you can't modify the behavior of the ball or the game... in this case, the referee is wrong ! as you can see the net is moving a lot... the block can't fit perfectly at the perfect cm of the net = to block the ball as the net is still moving like a hurricane... I'm really amazed how many mistakes the international referees make (even in the challenge you can watch it perfectly.. but they do not know the real FIVB rules as that is a basic rule of volleyball and beach volleyball) !

      that small net movement does not interfere with the play, and even if you think it does, it’s the referee’s judgement to determine whether something is interference or not.

      You might be amused but start amusing with your own mistakes - "in this case, the referee is wrong". It wasn't the referee's opinion, it was the judgement from the challenge reviewers.

He s right to protest that he got a moving net perturbation. Where do we go if you let players playing like this ?

      You can't call for a challenge on technical faults, only on touch, line....only on Something non-subjective

      @@Yeus337 True but you can use your challenge for a review, exemple: ask for net violation challenge, and if the referee sees a mistake in the replay, they have to turn the ruling if any violation happened during the challenge shots, even if it's not what the challenge was about.
