Long time Guzzi rider here. Love the MGX and Audace. I notice that Guzzi used dress-up covers on the gearbox and starter motor side to modernize the look. No biggie, but I was really surprised, and a little disappointed to see that they used a cheap clip nut where you had trouble getting the gearbox drain cover bolt off. If you're not gentle threading the bolt back in they bend and make cross-threading very easy to do. That should have been a welded on nut or threaded boss. Clip nuts have been around for decades in my industry - broadcasting, and once a screw cross threads in them and they break and spin, you're in trouble. I still have my '86 LeMans and have sold off the other Guzzis. I'll be looking for an MGX or Audace to replace the LeMans. Cheers.
Hey Erwin. Yeah tell me about it. I've had this thing apart a few times and GUZZI LOVES using those. I've run into the problem you're describing plenty of times haha. Mine is technically for sale depending on the area you live in.
I changed those out but had to go with an H3 hid for the low beam and a h7 led for the high beam. There's just not enough room to install even the tiniest of leds in there that give you enough light
@@diegoelfeo1 Hey serg, not yet: i only have 3000miles on the bike currently. but its a very typical drive shaft oil change...90% of bikes are the same method to change the final drive oil. So you can look up any final drive oil change on almost any bike and itll be exactly the same.
@@InvertedInsight The 1400 Guzzi requires the rear wheel to be removed to change the final drive oil........ plan to do it when you replace the rear tire.
Thank you for this! I’m having a 2016 Eldorado on the way and I’m trying to acquaint myself with all of the maintenance/adjustment needs. Excited
Lucky enough to have bought one of these 2 days ago. So super useful.
Kudos to you 👍

Are there any video's on replacing LED low/ high beam for MGX-21

Thank you. What is the size of replacement oil filter ?
I'm going to try - HF565
How much transmission fluids you need ???
I don't know how much exactly but it wasn't much.
Maybe 1/3 the bottle.
Thanks for the video looks good. how often transmission oil needs to be changed?
Every 2 oil changes you should change transmission. same as valve adjustment.
Thanks Mike, great info. Did you add the bags to your audace?
@@billvandeven5272 no these are factory bags that come on an mgx 21
@@InvertedInsight user manual says every 10000 km, like the engine oil.
My dealer filled the gearbox of my California 1400 Touring with 75W90, so I wouldn't worry too much about using 80W90.
Great info Mike!! Thanks
Very well done. Thank you
Great stuff!
now go do the drivebox oil....
That only needs to be done every 25,000 miles. And its very very easy to do.
@@InvertedInsight did you do final drive oil? The one by the end of the drive shaft, thanks for the video , it helped me a lot
