Gone, dreams of the past Gone with a love that moved too fast Gone, bright shiny days Gone in a young and restless haze Why did we love, then run away So little time, so much left to say And now its gone Young and restless friend Youll never pass this way again Drink the summer wine Reach for the stars While you have time Your restless dream Will lead the way So dream your dreams and live for each day (While you are young)
Only now, to find out there are words to the tune that would fill the lounge throughout my childhood. Now, years later, most of the family grown ups of those days who were Y&R fans are gone, and I am here to remain and ponder for a spare moment these lyrics.
My grandma has been watching this show since 1973.I’ve watched it on and off since I was 15 in 1997. I just recently found out that this theme had words
OMG I remember her singing this in her restaurant. My grandmas watch this show faithfully. Everytime I hear Nadia's Theme I cry thinking about my two G-Mas!!!
This Monday on July 20, 2020, The Young & the Restless takes you back to when it all began on March 26 & 27, 1973. Its a daytime event not to be missed.
This is on my bucket list to record. I want to make a CD in the next couple years to give to my family of all my favorite songs to sing. This will also be played at my memorial service when I'm gone. I made sure to put it in my will! There's something about this song that haunts me and every time I hear it I cry.
Remember the late Bern Bennett used to say, "Mens fashions furnished by Giorgio of Beverly Hills! Join us again for The Young and the Restless! Stay tuned for Search For Tomorrow on most of these CBS stations!"
Every gymnast aspired to be like Nadia. Oh, I KNEW I'd never be nearly as good as she was, but my heart was into it. That's what makes one enjoy any sport/life event worth the while.

I dedicate this actress Jeanne Cooper - Catherine Chancellor - who passed away today (May 8, 2013). Rest in peace, 'Duchess.'
Gone, dreams of the past
Gone with a love that moved too fast
Gone, bright shiny days
Gone in a young and restless haze
Why did we love, then run away
So little time, so much left to say
And now its gone
Young and restless friend
Youll never pass this way again

Your restless dream
Will lead the way

There are so many meaningful life messages in these lyrics, I'm not surprised that it has such a profound affect on you. It does me too!

Her version is the best by far
I didn't even know this song had words until fairly recently...
They should end episodes with the vocals of this song

For some reason the sound of this music evokes a sense of David Underwood's presence.

"orrible"? Hmmm must be British...
Not horrible. IT'S ACTUALLY VERY RHYTHMIC AND HAS GREAT TEMPO.
Horrible
