I ride a RE himalayan... similar terrain in Vic. 3 x the power but also an extra 70kg. I was toying with the idea of modifying a little postie or old ag bike for light weight fun... But i can see the advantages here... Newer bike. Get it RWc and registered pre mods. Then mod the heck out of it.. Perfect little off roader and a cheap project... Muz from geelong
@@murrayhyde4902 hey Muz, small capacity bikes have always had a place in my heart haha. Iv got a postie bike in the garage just waiting to be resurrected and hope to do another cool little bike build soon. Definitely a lot of fun for little price. Thanks for watching mate👍Curtis
Did you throw much money into it besides tyres? I'm considering this option as a two wheel fix until my dual sport finally gets delivered. Bloody covid... :)
Hey mate the tyres were probably one of the most expensive parts for it but I did spent more for sure. In part 3 of the build I say how much the bike and parts cost. You’ll have fun even just putting on decent tyres man👌
Just came across your videos and watched all the Honda ones. Excellent stuff, dude! I got a question - I've been riding Posties for years and I'm really used to heel/toe shifters. Do you think there's any way the CB125 could fit a heel/toe shifter as a mod? I realise I will have to use the clutch lever but I'm just not keen on hooking my toe under the shift lever. Thanks for any advice bro
Hi, wanted to cafe racer a cb for ages but I can't see how we can get it registered in Qld? As soon as we chop the frame or alter anything its to an engineer for inspection and from what I see if the frame has changed it's out. Thought about altering a registered bike then modifying without telling anyone, but what about an accident? Any clues?
Do it after it’s regoed mate and if it’s before the suspension mounts it can still be road legal I believe because the tail section is for a pillion. But look into it if your worried about I’m no engineer.
Bike is looking so badass and looks like a blast to ride there. The exhaust sound is also really mad. Love it. How much does the bike weigh now btw? Also how is the suspension when going off-road. My SR400 has terrible suspension off-road =P
Dude is a lot of fun hey the suspension is surprisingly good I think because it’s lighter and the rear shocks have a bit more travel now. I ended up getting the bikes weight down to roughly 128-130kg from 138 so it handles a lil better. Sr400 power would be so good tho haha I could use a few more hp😂
@@anotherguyonabike4726 128 not bad SR400 is like 160 (dry) I like the extra setup of cameras you used. I have to get better on setting up those. Usually i'm too lazy and just wants to ride. so much effort to stop and fix camera all the time =P
@@Darkvisor it really is time consuming with the tripod because of all the stops but for stuff like this I recon it’s worth it hey. Thanks for watching man🤙
@@anotherguyonabike4726 Thanks mate! Did you use the stock tubes or are you running them tubeless? I'm also looking to convert my cb125e for offroad use. Were the handlebars a straight swap in or did you need longer cables?
I have a question my friend, I am from Colombia and I also have a similar motorcycle, what numbers do the sprockets have for speed? and what kind of tires, thanks
Hey mate looks fun, where is this spot, I may try the Scrambler over there
It’s just at Canungra Rico I’ll message you when I head out there next and show you😉
Dude thats an awesome vid , it shows how much fun can be had on a bike and just as much if not more if its the wrong tool for the job. Love it.
You sure don’t need a expensive or super powerful bike to get out and have some honest fun that’s for sure. Cheers for watching mate.
what tire dimensions man? this is a weapon
They’re both 100/100 18 rear is a full knobby tho. Cheers for watching mate
