Here’s the thing, even if she felt like he was copying her husband, she could have gone about it In a completely different way. She could have said I feel like you’re not sure who you are yet and that’s okay. Figure out your signature style and sound.. something like that. I actually don’t believe she was entirely responsible for her comments. With the way those reality shows work - also evident from the accounts of former contestants which you can also see on TH-cam everywhere - is that so much is made up and manufactured.
My thinking is that the producers of X Factor New Zealand were trying to create a viral moment, and when it backfired, Natalia and Willy became scapegoats and it totally fucked up their careers.
