Imo, as long as they don't make these stories crossover on the regular like Marvel does with their what-if show, then really, it would be better for the franchise as a whole and for the writers themselves to include the multiverse, as the writers will be able to tell the stories they want to tell or they can continue pre-existing material that's considered legends without having to worry about canon. Pretty much the next step to what they already did with visions and rebuild the galaxy by including more lost/canceled projects and media of star wars.
I have made a similar case. Star Wars should just make a multiverse. Continue the EU timeline, pic, up the Infinities timeline. Are Multiverses overdone and lazy? Yes, but at this point we've got nothing to lose.
You mentioned Marvel but DC animated movies did their own thing too, separate from live action movies (but usually close adaptations of comics). There’s no reason they can’t make EU/Legends cartoons. The DC animated movies are usually better than the live action. Maybe that’s what they’re afraid of.
Thank you for your comment. That is true. I mainly talked about Marvel because Marvel Studios is a sister company to Lucas film and that was the inspiration for this video. But yes a series of Star Wars legends films would be awesome.
I love the modern 3-D animation styles used for Star Wars recently but I agree it would be great to return to the more classic 2D cartoon style. I really like your idea of turning the 1977 Star Wars comic line into a show. I recently got some of the old newspaper-strip Star Wars comics by Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson and have really enjoyed them. I love their artstyle and colors and think a show using the style would be such a treat!
@@fineadditions Are you referring to the Thrawn trilogy? If so I totally agree! I bet they could even use Mark Hamill as C'Baoth. We've already seen how talented he is at playing insane characters with The Joker (Though to be fair C'Baoth's insanity is a lot different to Joker's chaotic insanity).
I think a low budget Droids live action movie could be successful. It would obviously be set between episodes 3 and 4 and not necessarily follow the plots of the cartoon, but show what happened to R2D2 & C3PO during that time. The budget would be low enough that it wouldn't have to reach a billion dollars at the box office to be a success - and SW desperately needs a successful movie at this point. While the sequel trilogy may have turned a profit, they are garbage and I don't know anyone who considers it to actually be a part of Star Wars. This is movie that would obviously be geared towards Star Wars fans, not necessarily diehards but those that are at least casual fans, and I think that's enough people for this kind of movie to be really successful and reach $200-300 million at the box office. On a budget of $50-80 million - mostly on CGI, no big name stars - that's a win.
Thank you for your comment. This is a great idea especially since Looney Tunes is releasing another 2-D animated movie. It could be the perfect time for it plus the only name that you really need in would be Anthony Daniels.
For some reason Disney doesn’t like to make any kind of story for Star Wars that isn’t part of their canon, which is very unfortunate.
Thank you for your comment! Aside from visions and the Lego stuff

Hey thanks for your comment! I like your stuff! Yeah it is over done but if they make it like marvel and dc it could work

Thanks for the comment! I love that storyline!
They should just do a “What If” that reimagines the sequel trilogy with a coherent storyline
Thank you for your comment. I agree with that. I do think that the post return of the Jedi adaptations would be perfect for that

@@nilbogoblin6207Yes! Mark can play every one
I have that "Fabulous First Issue" in my very meager collection. I agree that run would make a great old school cartoon show.
Disney should make nothing.
And, should sell Star Wars back to Lucas or someone more competent.
