    After trying out several brands, combinations of blends and grinds, I have settled for Il Mattino Vivace by Lavazza... it goes perfectly with my semi-automatic espresso machine. Its got almost a toffee and caramel finish to it and very satisfying as my first drink of the day. I am so happy that I came across this coffee. According to their website this is Arabica-Robusta mix (although mix % not specified) and sourced from Chikmanglur plantations. My day just does not start properly without this awesome coffee :)

    Fun fact, Chicory was added into coffee grounds as an adulterant, later chicory became the taste maker of South Indian filter coffee. We got used to the woody, earthy flavour that now chicory became an indispensable ingredient in filter coffee. 🤗

      Does chicory addition decrease caffine content in coffee?

    • @dr.azygos3585
      @dr.azygos3585 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@atharvadeshpande7210 not necessarily, chicory is added for flavour than adding caffeine.
      The amount of caffeine depends on the roast and brewing time and method;
      Lighter roasts have more caffeine than dark roasts.
      And steep and brew methods such and French press will extract most caffeine than espresso brewing.

      Hi Amit, how do you brew your filter coffee? what is the method of brewing? Is it a drip coffee machine, a pour over method, or some other method? Each brewing method has different taste profiles. Your choice of brewing equipment will depend on your palate.

      @@amitchugh08 Hi Amit, currently your prefered brewing method is filter. Visit a coffee shop and try an espresso or an Americano. If you feel that the coffee shpp experience is better, go in for an espresso machine. If you're happier with the filter method that you are currently following, stick with it.

    Ground coffee sold at indian groceries in the US are a hit or miss. Sometimes we get a very stale batch. I was exactly looking for this information to understand the composition of indian coffee so I can try and mimic it with coffee beans available here in the US. I really like the `brown label` coffee that I found in bengaluru. They do slow roasting using a very old slow roaster from Germany, I believe.

      Coffee ground 2 months ago, will be more stale than unground that's a year old with packaging being equal. The freshness is dependant on the packaging. But if you buy freshly ground coffee, you'll have have a few days of moderately fresh tasting coffee. It's about about surface area and exposure

    Sir what’s the best option to sell filter coffee powder. 100% Robusta & 100% Arabica or chicory mix ! Because I don’t know their experience but many people prescribe for chicory mix since they say 100% Robusta or Arabica is hard to drink and looses thickness & colour. I own a coffee estate and planning of selling directly to customers at Bangalore. Could u guide pls !? Thanks.

    • @tecnoratv
      @tecnoratv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Bharath,
      Thanks for engaging with us.
      The first and the only principle of business is to give your customers what they want.
      If you have traditional filter coffee drinkers as your customer base, then you should go in for the chicory mix category and check the other brands in the market, see the blends they have and see what you can offer from your estate.
      For espresso drinkers, the coffee powder must not contain chicory. Either a 100% Arabica or a blend with Robusta will work. Again, repeat the same exercise-check the current offers in the market and see what you can offer.
      100% Robusta is used mainly by instant coffee manufacturers.
      Hope I have answered your questions.
      Thanks again!

      Hi Tanvi,

      We believe in fresh coffee just like most of us believe in fresh food.

      Do you prefer tea bags or freshly brewed tea from tea leaves?
      Exactly.
      That's our thought process.
