- How is this different from the recession in 2008 and todays market?
What’s the difference?
Are we in a recession?
Many people are asking what is the difference between the last recession in 2008 vs. the “so called” recession.
Here are a few facts to help you understand some of the differences:
1. In 2008, Homes were worth less than what people paid for them.
2. People were loosing their jobs
3. There were lots of bad loans being processed
4. Foreclosures were plentiful
5. We had an Abundance of short sales.
6. People were able to purchase homes for $.50 on the dollar.
So you see, we had a lot of factors driving the market crash that occurred in 2008. Circumstances are much different this time around.
Remember, recession does not always equal “market crash”!
