Imo the crowd gave him alot more reaction than he deserved.. The Obie Trice scheme was nice but he had few haymakers bordering on none. People really underestimate the importance of solid delivery. The reason rappers use setups and filler is to get the crowd in suspense and primed to go crazy when they drop the haymaker, if they forget the scheme, stumble and choke then it kills all that energy they've built up. It's really not the crowd's fault. Stans and Simps of a specific battle rapper don't actually help said battle rapper, infact they do more to hurt their performance by overreacting to punches and reacting in the middle of a setup, which majorly throws off your tempo and can hurt you so critically even bordering on making you choke. They were giving Vike reaction just for aggression and performance when he wasn't really saying anything spectacular, there's a major difference between someone who can speak loud infront of people and someone who can actually recite and perform their writtens in a way that connects with the crowd..
