Couple of things to note that I forgot to mention: Treasure maps are a little dodgy to run due to the crates spawning high up near the ceiling, I've been lucky with mine and have been able to access all of them but it's worth noting. Some people were unable to reach their chest locations due to this. Hopefully they will fix it! It is paid DLC after all XD The Day/Night Cycle image is from the ARK.Wiki page but is from ASE, there is some small differences though with the days/nights, small windows in the day where it appears to be night where you can explore briefly and also small windows in the night can also occur where you can get roasted, this should not be a problem with the surface entrance I showcased as it's such a small region, just pay attention to when it is dark and when it is light and you should be fine to get in and out! If it does get bright when out at night I recommend moving back to the entrance and getting out! @@dutydarth5809actually they are a lot different. I don’t think anyone has an exhaustive guide on the day/night cycle but it’s def accurate to say you can’t rely on 5:30-17:30 anymore. It varys by cycle and it also varys from one surface to another. They aren’t the same. I’m not hating on the creator of the video at all I’m js. I found the video to be extremely helpful.
I'm having a hard time sticking with Aberration this time around. Too much gear is required just to explore half the map. Having to have multiple sets of armor just to walk around, 20 lbs for a glider suit, etc, is just excessive, in my opinion. Too many dinos, including the new Yi Ling can't even carry me with normal exploration gear. Hopefully getting some better gear will reduce the need to carry so much of it. So, thanks for this, man.
Could you put out a video with drop locations? I know you said you can see them from a mile away, but Series S players haven't been able to see drop beacons since the launch of Scorched Earth back in April, and I'm hearing that now Series X players can't see them either. No clue about PS.
I best had get my ass over to the radiation cave some more, was really struggling to find the crates in there but always knew it would be the best way to find loot, thanks Bey! Great vid as always!
I usually play with 0.5 as of now, I used to play on 1x before and I kept finding saddles and blueprints that were like 150-200 armour and it used to annoy me so much as to why I was finding loot like that which is unrealistic😁 so i turned it right down to 0.5, fixed the ridiculous armour on the saddles but sacrificed weapon and armour quality 🤣
I risked my biscuit on the surface and only 3 drops came down the entire night and the 3rd one was too slow before the fire came. Am I doing something wrong? I thought there'd be a lot more than 2 blues and 1 yellow drop. Also not a single cave drop in green cave any of the 6 times I've run it looking but i didnt think mesh issues would affect the surface
A lot of the time the beams are invisible so that might have something to do with it, main reason why I like the smaller surface region the most! I think it's the same issue with all the caves and that is the timer on the crates when they spawn in, probably only stay for 5-10 minutes then they disappear and won't spawn another crate for 15/20 minutes and green cave is a nightmare to keep going back and forth quickly just to find crates :(
I had one the other day and it was miles up in the wall but could still find a spot to dig haha, I don’t think they took Aberration into account when they designed them 😂 I’ve gotten pretty lucky with my locations so far!

I've heard they can be invisible on console? I'm on PC, they are invisible a lot of the time but usually when I enter render range, once I pick em up I see the beams, turning up your global illumination settings can also help from what I heard!
They are almost impossible from my experience, Haven't seen them in the loot tables at all, same with Carbonemys and the Trike saddle, someone did say they found a Trike saddle in the standard yellow crate found on the map, I'll let you know If i find any more info
Yeah it can be a nightmare! I usually bring 2 or 3 hazard sets and hang around the cave as long as I can, they tend to respawn every 10 minutes or so, only seen 2 spawn at once one time so I must have got very lucky on that occasion!

If you get stuck inside the whirlwind sand attack I know tamed ones do dismount with that attack but I can't remember if wilds do or not! Has it dismounted you?
Yeah not sure what they were thinking there, no parasaur either not that I want one but a lot of these creatures don’t have anywhere that drop saddles drop them 😭

I think the caves in general on this map are terrible for frame rates, I have a powerful PC and still have to turn some of my settings down when in the caves 😥
Sorry i need ask can some one say why you/there bp for the gene scanner that not regular dose like a ascended gene scanner mean you have hight chance of fing better tir gens like how that quilty for one work?
@@Mitchasauraus Got an ascendant Gene Scanner yday, tested it, can still only hold 10 genes. It has more damage (mine had 179%) and has way more durability, but so far I haven't seen the durability of my primitive one go down yet, so I don't see how that's useful Yet to find any use for better quality Gene Scanner. Oh and another piece of information: the gene scanner BP has a limited amount of uses it seems, my BP states it has only 1 use.

There used to be a portion that wasn’t. On ase we had a reaper trap there and birthing beds up where there was no rad. Do you k ow if we can tp wild dinos on asa abb?
It's barely any different, I just go to the surface, if it's dark then I go up, if it's light i'll wait, no big issue tbh, still plenty of time to get out.
I’d say it’s even better now, you can safely roam the surface for like 5 minutes bc there’s a glitch where no reapers or nameless spawn at a certain time at night
@@dutydarth5809 no its a big difference. on ASE you can tell its night time because the time slows down when its 90% night. it no longer does that. they change the time the sun is actually out. on a 90% night you can go up early as 1430 and stay up till 11:30. its not 1730-0430 or what ever it was
On 90% night you can go on the surface from 14:30-11:00, but reapers only appear from 17:30-6:30. You have 5-10 min at dawn and dusk where the only thing you need to worry about is seekers. If you're on a drake and have your light pet off you're completely safe.
I really don't recommend using the treasure maps on this map specifically. Every single one my buddy and I have found have been located outside the map, in locations unreachable without console commands. Really disappointing, hope it's just a PS5 issue though

Yeah I really wish they wouldn't despawn. It was like that in ASE also as I remember the first time running this cave I got to a red drop and it instantly vanished when I was about to open it up 😭

Only way is the random ppl crates over the map tbh, you won’t find easy loot early game, that is what makes the map so challenging! Gotta work more for good loot 😂
To be fair the best ways are usually the more end game, just got to look in the world drops, those can drop some decent stuff to, anything from blue and up, just a nightmare to find them! If I find a good spot where crates do spawn i'll be sure to reply!
I actually heard that most of the spawns were under the mesh so I spent probably 18 hours in the cave non stop looking to prove it and I found 7. I was desperate to find more but yeah I gave up after I kept finding repeat spawns non stop! I knew I would probably be missing a few but I guess what can you do when they don't spawn correctly 🤣

I must admit Aberration is abit rough, don't forget about the 50% weight reduction on shoulder pets too! That has helped me out so much this map 😁

I have 100% gotten premade haz gloves from a yellow, non-ringed surface drop.

so heads up, they changed how night and day effect time. you can no loner use ASE Ab data, and that surface def one of the worse surfaces

Yea the surface doesn’t light up till after 11:00 and from 5:30 on doesn’t spawn reapers but the drops still spawn.
