Almost my dear sir... When i saw the thumbnail, my mind said "oh.. another fun meltdown coming through 😂" Sohyang going Patti LaBelle here brings me joy. Her ballpark is CCM and she always delivers, not only in her genre as we all know. You are probably the first reactor who mentioned the contrast of her voice & lyrics. Imho during acapella part she genuinely got emotional. However that gave us an opportunity to witness her going from 0 and choking up to full throttle in seconds. Sohyang is a masterclass in vocal control, even in the unfavorable situation like getting emotional or suffering health issues. In the recent years, her poor health really gets in her way and it shows during her live performance. From what I've read, this is the one and only time she has performed this song in public because she didn't think that her health would permit her to sing it again. So Hyang has a compromised immune system, has had eight bouts of severe pneumonia between 2016 - 2020.

So, the emotions contained in this song are the true feelings of Sohyang, so even those who listen to the song can feel the emotions as they are if they are immersed a little bit, so they have no choice but to shed tears. As a side note, this song is also one of Sohyang's most difficult songs to sing due to its 7-minute length and extreme singing technique and difficulty, so it has actually only been sung and performed on stage once so far in the video.
