- It was a cross stitch dream to visit the Attic Needlework Shop in Mesa, AZ. What a joy to peruse the shelves and bring home fabric and patterns to share here with all of you Flosstube friends. Love the way you present your video. I have been to the Attic a few times and loved it. I live in Redlands, CA and am about 5-6 hours away to we must live somewhat near each other. Great choices of fabric and patterns. Have fun stitching!

Oh what fun for you! I’m so glad you had such a great time at your first needlework shop. How sweet you were able to shop for your Mom as well…and hopefully she’ll do a video appearance someday 😊. I live in Findlay OH and our LNS is the Craft Gallery which I’ve been shopping at for 41 years! Teresa Kogut has quite a bit of her models framed there; she is the loveliest person to meet. So happy you got to visit The attic and support a LNS. the Attic is just down the street from my house - they are lovely ladies over there. And yes, you did see 50+ count - they love to stitch tiny counts for their samplers. I can get lost in that amazing story for sure. You picked up some great goodies - thanks for sharing your haul.

Thanks for sharing your adventure! I live in Tacoma, WA and my LNS is Threadneedle Street in Issaquah, WA (about an hour drive) and I went for the first time just last week! It was top of my list when our kiddo started full-time school 😊 It’s truly a heavenly experience, the first time stepping foot into a stitching shop. Being able to chat in person with others who feel the same joy is priceless! I stocked my fabric stash and finished kitting up three patterns I brought from home … patiently waiting to go back in a justified amount of time hehe ❤

Oh my goodness, I just watched this extra flosstube, which I enjoyed immensely, not realizing that I had come upon one of my new favorite authors! I recently finished the audible versions of Sons of Blackbird Mountain and its sequel Daughter's of the Northern Shore (i think those were the titles, please forgive me if I messed up the titles). I loved the stories, even dragging my reading out as I did not want them to end.
How delightful to learn that you are also a stitcher! I enjoyed hearing about your trip to The Attic! I do not have a LNS nearby so I rely on our fabulous internet options!

As a primary Aida stitcher, I completely love the perfect fabric choices you made for your MOM!! You are a love❤ and your husbands comment brought tears to my eyes, as I really enjoyed going along with you to the Attic. I dont have an LNS here but I used to, many years ago❤

Use forty count now because as you age your eyes get weaker. I have very good eyesight for a person my age. I started a sampler in my forties, life happened and I never finished it. I’m now in my seventies picked it up the other day, tried stitching and had a hard time seeing the forty count threads. Enjoy while you can.
I look forward to learning how to stitch on 40 count. 🙂 I'm new to cross stitch so am starting to build my way up and definitely hope to get there!
