It’s the type of anime that will be lost to the back of your mind eventually, but will always give you that weirdly good, nostalgic feeling whenever you happen to come across it again
The ending was rushed. Everybody keeps mentioning that as if it was a bad thing even though the last test being rushed was literally the whole point of the ending. It being rushed sounds bad, but I honestly loved the ending. It made perfect sense for all the characters, and there was actually a lot of foreshadowing, too.
the great depression i respect ur opinion I can see the ending was rushed a bit, but because of that I think I loved it. It helped me understand why the kiznaiver system was a failure, and even though it’s a stupid concept, but it really did make me appreciate what the show was trying to teach us.
This intro did it's job well. Because of how unique and awesome this song and intro is it manages to make people not only want to watch the show BUT it also make people have watched it before almost immediately remember a large portion of the story.
Boom Boom Satellites was a great band that never made headway in the west, even though they sung in English. Check out their "To the Loveless" and "Exposed" albums.
They actually toured in the US and released albums in the US. Not sure about Europe, but it's probably likely. It's just a shame they didn't gain popularity sadly. They were also influenced and compared with western artists, like The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers.
This song always gives me the feeling of how memories flash through your mind right before you die. The kaleidoscope and blur effects along with the singer's wispy voice really solidify that feeling.

Even if my mind says "no this anime is not really good, the characters are caricatural and the story is cliche", my heart don't listen and... I can't put words on it, it's like i was deeply connected with this anime, with the characters, and even though I finished it few days ago, I'm just thinking about it all the day. It left a deep mark on my soul. And this opening sums perfectly the whole ambiance of the anime, it makes me cry every time haha. Sorry for my english, it's not my native language, but I really wanted to share my thoughts - or rather my heart - on this anime.
It's been two years since I saw it for first time, and it cuts deeply into my heart every time I listen to the opening and see the characters, it was an emotional and understanding anime, and it came when I was getting drift away from my friends by myself, so negative thoughts and emotions, but at the end this anime made me open my eyes to that truth, and helped me to open a bit more to those who I love the most
I couldn’t agree more, people don’t really like the show since Trigger has such a huge reputation and they put high standards for a show out Triggers comfort zone, I personally think this show is beautiful it really demonstrates how important character development is since every character changes by the end of the series with help from the plot and not just vague plot twists that change a characters perspective. I love this show and the music
Rest in piece kawashima, thank you for creating such a beautiful song and being a part of a beautiful anime as well fly high and may your family be safe
The fact the 6 year old original music video has only like 500k views and this 4 year old upload has almost 3M is crazy. Really shows how this song is just known as the Kiznaiver OP and nothing else.
Man i am just still in love with these charaters. Everyone has their own personalaty wich clashes with evryone elses wich makes it such an enjable experience. And also everyones chaaracter design is amazing!
I can listen to this song forever it never gets old and it fits almost any mood. Visually one of the best openings ever and the music might not be to everyone's preference but it's got a great story behind it as it was BBS' last song that happened to be their magnum opus with the last of their effort. The vocalist passed from a brain tumor but at least his music can still be heard. Rose tinted glasses aside I don't think the band had that many great tracks (3 imo: This, Embrace and a Hundred Suns) which is why they weren't so popular, but this one definitely deserves recognition.
This OP is truly a masterpiece to remember, the anime sometimes goes from less to more and vice-versa but the OP, I never watched the anime before I discovered the song, surprisingly I discovered the song on my Weekly Discover from Spotify, I liked the song and suddenly I became addicted to it, like it made me feel stronger, emotionally, nostalgic, like "Lay your hands on me while I'm bleeding dry" feels kind of "Don't worry even if things are going wrong", after I searched the song on YT I found it was from an Anime, I only watched the OP here on Crunchyroll YT and I became even more addicted to not only the song, but now the vibes, the colors, the kaleidoscope effects, the characters design that I didn't even know who they were in that moment, all was like a beautiful colorful dream to watch. After watching the anime (I finished yesterday), made me understand a lot of more things now, meet the characters, know this awesome history and now for some reason, I think on what others feels more, I became more emphatic thinking about others sufferings and thoughts, I love Kiznaiver OP, characters, trama, its just close to my concept of perfection
The first time i saw this opening i was immediately hit with a feeling of nostalgia despite having never seen it before. I watched the show immediately after that and it's held a special place in my heart ever since. I find myself going back and rewatching it at least once a year.
First time I watched this anime i skipped the opening (cause I normally do skip openings) and then I by mistake forgot to skip again cause I was busy doing something else and I heard this song and I couldnt believe the amazing opening I had been skipping the whole time... I now deeply regret not doing that thing earlier on
I remember how they refused to release this song on any streaming platform for years. My buddies and I used to just listen to this song on repeat. There'd occasionally be a "Kiznaiver OP FULL" drop, and you'd listen to it, and it would just be "Take on me" set to this song. Good times. I miss those days.

The guy who did the imagery and the animation of this opening hit the nail on how to reach someones heart especially with this calm rythme of the song
Just finished this anime and the opening was great, this anime is really underrated and unique in many ways. Glad I found it just recently.
That was my second anime to watch back than in 2017... That song is not just an opening for me. It is something... Personal. Love it so much
i know nothing bout this yet this opening alwaya makes me feel so weird. like a bunch of nostalgia, sadness and the feeling that I'm alive
I feel the same way, I have no idea why
The art and animation is so frickin beautiful and I love the character designs 😖
One of those openings. Were you feel the atmosphere of the Anime ❤
I remember seeing this song everywhere in Crunchyroll ads, and boy did it deserve to be used everywhere.
Genuinely an OP I can listen to for ages.
Could've been a masterpiece if it had more episodes :(
I couldn’t agree more, people don’t really like the show since Trigger has such a huge reputation and they put high standards for a show out Triggers comfort zone, I personally think this show is beautiful it really demonstrates how important character development is since every character changes by the end of the series with help from the plot and not just vague plot twists that change a characters perspective. I love this show and the music
Right? 2 or 3 more episodes would have done it.
@@justjammal tbh i feel like its enough, since too much episodes would not feel right. At least in my opinion
everything about this anime makes me feel nostalgic idk why
I love how in the beginning its beautiful flasjing lights
I literally cried when what's his face saw that his old friends were emotionless dolls. It harder than my dad did
Me too
I love spoilers
Finally we can watch (and download) the opening in good quality. I was waiting it for years, thanks
Or just get it online from the blu ray and get the creditless
I always wanted this anime to have another season...
Nostalgic. Thats all I've got to say.
Made me nostalgic back when the show was airing. Now that it's 3 years old, I'm really nostalgic.
@@_ArsNova It made me nostalgic and i havnt even watched the show
It’s really weird how I never hear about trigger animes, I just stumble onto one and have it change my life
Just re-watched this after 4 years
Was way nostalgic the first time i saw it.
Underrated Gem!
rest in peace, this song is a great masterpiece to remember you by.
Finaly someone uploaded the actual opening! Thank you! There was like only a sped up version availed forever
Not many OPs give me goosebumps every time I see them. But this is easily one of them.
ABOUT TIME CRUNCHYROLL, ABOUT TIME
HAHAHAHA IKRR
Honestly I love this song and op so much. Didn't even know it was an op though until TH-cam randomly recommend it.
Man i am just still in love with these charaters. Everyone has their own personalaty wich clashes with evryone elses wich makes it such an enjable experience. And also everyones chaaracter design is amazing!
the only anime that has and ever will make me cry,,,it's so good aaaa
One for all, all for victory....From today, you are all Kiznaivers.
Just from only watching this OP, this anime could literally be about ANYTHING
heck i had to pull this up again because i forgot while watching to pewds and joey reviewing anime OPs
this is still one of the best openings ever made
Years later watching this. I completely don't remember what the plot was but I do remember this bomb as opening. 🤙
The 0:21 moment somehow makes me feel sad and happy at the same time, l cant explain
Yeah it hurts my heart somehow. Like I'm missing something I've never had.
It's supposed to make you fill as if your apart of a struggling group of teens and it's great because they did it perfectly
Yeah it's like it's making me remember memories that I wish I had
@@renjuncth8822 a perfect explanation
Actually, for this one i feel empty. Like more empty that the emptiest thing. Idk
MY FIRST EVER ANIME BEFORE MHA, i loved this anime and the intro its so nostalgic ughh i need to rewatch it
I have no idea what this anime is about no disrespect but it gives me such a sense of nostalgia and forgotten memories
One of my favorite openings of all time. Kiznaiver is a sadly underrated thing.
RIP to the singer. This show was criminally underrated
One of the best and most underrated anime’s. Period.
One of my favorite openings.
Still makes me cry. Fav forever ❤
I now deeply regret not doing that thing earlier on
I came here in 2020 to say that this show is underated...
I cant find this anime in crunchyroll
@@Dexonsgrind it’s still there I just got done rewatching it
Listening to this at 3AM in the dead calm makes me feel some type of way.
this song gives me so much chills, RIP Michiyuki Kawashima and thank you studio trigger
Still one of the best openings ever. So damn good.
[LYRICS]
lay your hands on me
while i’m bleeding dry
break on through blue skies
i’ll take you higher
i fly
fly out
fly out to your heart
fly out
fly out
fly out
lay your hands on me
stay close by my side
drive me so crazy
moonlight and star shine
Thank you
I actually started watching this anime and it's amazing, style is very good,i love this opening, unique characters and the most important - good story. Well i dont give any spoilers but i just recommend it for anyone.
Must protect her smile.
Is this like, the best opening ever? Even though it's so goddamn unknown. I mean the song is one thing, but the visual effects are mindblowing.
