The word “sexy” has sexual connotations to it. “Sex” is in the word. Calling someone sexy introduces a sexual energy regardless of the situation. Handsome, attractive, beautiful, etc. have different energies behind them, all different from “sexy.” Also, someone can be ugly AND sexy, but that’s a whole next conversation 😂.

As a gay man, I’ve always wondered if straight men found other men attractive. Even though there may not be a sexual attraction there. I tend to believe that men may find other man attractive, even if he doesn’t admit it openly. However, if he’s straight, he isn’t inclined to pursue that attraction further. Just as a gay man, I can see a beautiful women and not desire her sexually. That doesn’t take away from the fact that she’s beautiful and I find her attractive. Attraction is attraction.
I’ve had a heterosexual married man say to me that he found me hot on the tennis court in front of a group of people. A woman immediately co-signed it. He said, “ I’m a heterosexual married man with children, but ___is hot.” The woman then said “you said it, I didn’t.” It was cold outside and I was sweating so steam was rising from my body. Me personally as a straight man. I don't think I've ever called a man sexy out loud. There are some good looking dudes out there but some people get freaked out or weirded out when you say that. It’s one thing to say “he’s a good looking guy” meaning he’s clean probably dresses nice and well groomed. That’s just acknowledging the obvious and giving props. But it’s another thing to call another man sexy. You’re basically saying that something physically about him is attractive to you in a sexual way. Straight men don’t think that way. Thinking someone is attractive and being sexually attracted to them are two different things. Being sexy is walking around with a certain confidence that makes people want to have sex with you. I think at times there are certain people who normally don't have the urge to have sex with the same sex who give people that urge to want to have sex even though normally they don't find the same sex sexually desirable.
Some people act on the desire and others do not act on that desire. I think you can only be gay or bisexual once you act on the desire to have sex with the same sex. Thoughts aren't real until they become actions.
