Omg 😮 thank you so much for posting this..I have tried to find this for years and years and actually started to wonder if I had just imagined this cartoon and intro song and made it up in my head hahaha..loved it lol ❤
Very good job fellows!! SNUFFY'S TURF LUCK is one of the funniest cartoons I ever watched back in the 1960s. In addition to Paul Frees and Penny Phillips voicework, Doodles Weaver provided the voice of the race announcer in the style of Spike Jones' William Tell Oveture (1948). Such a hilarious highlight.
Snuffy's Turf Luck must have been one of the earliest ones produced, because it's copyrighted 1961, while others are copyrighted 1962, '63, and '64. And you can tell a BIG difference with the Jack Kinney animation as opposed to Paramount
Snuffy's Song was released theatrically as part of Paramount's Comic King series of shorts. Plus Allan Melvin voiced Barney Google in the short. Instead of Paul Frees.

It takes too many musicians… if you listen carefully that’s a large musical score and it’s coordinated with the cartoon they didn’t have multi track recording, so it was like herding cats to put together a cartoon with sound. I’m sure they had a lot of fun doing it though.
@@radarriau actually much of the Winston Sharples score was made up of music cues from previous Paramount cartoons set up by cartoon producer Hal Seeger for this, Beetle Bailey, Out Of The Inkwell, Casper (ABC-TV toons), Tennessee Tuxedo, King Leonardo, Milton The Monster and Batfink
I woke up last night with this on the TV. Hadn't heard that theme in decades. I had forgotten how truly awful and wretched these early '60s cartoons were.
1963... I was -5 years old! 😊 Then, when I was already a kid, I didn't miss one episode. GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!!!!

We named our dog Snuffy Smith in 1972! 😂❤
I love when you put Cartoons in one upload, we get less ads to put up with.
I will say I highly appreciate you including the names of the cartoons included into this video, makes it easier to find them just with a search.
Best theme song ever !

Animation backgrounds reused from Goodie the Gremlin cartoons especially Good and Guilty (1962) from Paramount Pictures Cartoon Studios.
Que lindo mi época de infancia
BONITO DIBUJO DE AQUELLOS AÑOS HERMOSOS .
You might nickname the first episode in this clip "The Fickle Filly". LOL!

My childhood cartoon!
I remember reading the Snuffy smith comic strip in the news paper sniffy smith rules
¡Excelente!
👍👍👍👌👌👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Snuffy's horse looks real cute with that cover on.
Spark Plug is actually Barney Google's horse. These cartoons are a mix of characters from two different comic strips that were years old by this time.
At 1:10 that sounds like Bea Benadaret's whinny.
¡Gracias por compartir!
I loved this cartoon and the music is hilarious

Plus it was the only TV Snuffy short not made at Paramount. Jack Kinney at his studio did that short.

Lindos recuerdos 😊
Fantastic cartoon still remember the song
Snuffy's Turk Luck took a lot from the original Barney Google/Snuffy Smith comic strip.
Back when moonshine was a thing
I wish they still played this on tv and not shows like The Bachelorette and Kardashians.

Personally I'd prefer it if you uploaded these cartoons separately so we could watch them one at a time.
We dont take personal request...
@@jamesvickers9476 They don't have to hear a request, but no one on earth can refuse to hear a criticism.
Why can't they make decent cartoons like this instead of all that adult crap that they show on FOX!?
