Good video. I own the version 3.0
I live in Florida. It's August. That means a ton of rain. It also means it's 80F in the morning at the coolest and 100F+ during the day. Not to mention the humidity.
I work 8am-8pm. I use this jacket without the thermal liner right now. Why? It's waterproof. I ride in torrential downpours all the time. This jacket keeps me bone dry and I don't even use the pull-out rain hood! Sure, it gets heavy. But not once did this jacket ever soak through. Screw Gortex.
I keep a pair of FroggTogg motorcycle pants in my side case and ride 30 miles, arriving totally dry.
I have full mesh jackets that I wear for around town, but I have never found this jacket to be too hot for distance riding. Opening the vents is a noticeable difference, even though it's not direct venting. Nice job.
In the winter I've worn the jacket with the thermal liner. Even on a naked bike in 35F it's a warm jacket. Buying the right size allows you to add base layers but I have yet to do that. I wear scrubs and a t-shirt under this jacket.
Honestly, this is the commuter jacket to buy. I am tempted to buy the Dakar Dry 2 Dry, but I kind of like this baked in rain liner vs a removable one.
Price-wise this can't be beat. Screw Klim and all the other high prices jackets I've owned in the past. They should be embarrassed.
Oxford is high quality at low price.

    Hello sir,
You offered to answer questions, so I'm taking advantage here. I am in the U.S.; I am not new to riding, but was a relatively fair weather rider who never wore protective gear. Luckily, nothing too crazy has happened. My current needs are waterproofing, and warmth for cold weather. To the point:
    1) It's clear in your review that it's a good set for waterproofing, but how about cold weather?
    Thank you for your help.

The removable thermal layer is included in order to keep your core warm but I suggest grabbing some base layers as well. Base layers work as our first point of defense against the cold weather, opt for something that has merino wool as it's temperature regulating and moisture-wicking. Hope this helps! Ride safe!

To follow up on my previous comment. I'm American, 6'1", 240 lbs. (a husky fella). 2XL jacket fits well, but a touch snug and will wear in perfectly. I also purchased the 2XL pants. They are a perfect fit everywhere, except when I sit in the riding position it squeezes the circulation out of my ass (not just a little tight). Kind of an odd thing really. So, I returned it, and ordered the 3XL. It is fits loosely everywhere (perfectly acceptable) and a little snug on my ass. So, I think it will work out well now :D
