@@lauriejones3198 - Oh yeah... and videogames are the reason people grow up to be violent. It's important that you know that this is a route all these people have flown before and that every member of the Flying Cowboys is a relatively High time experienced pilot. When members are going to play Down Low they have another member fly ahead higher and Scout the area for power lines or other unseen hazards before they pass over it. Each general aviation pilot is responsible for their own safety. You're rather grade school logic could be applied to literally any video. I suppose competitive eating videos will incite Mass gluttony from everyone now... or maybe if someone watches Evel Knievel they'll decide to try to jump the Grand Canyon on a motorcycle. Use good judgment people and simply don't overextend your own capability... and don't expect the rest of the world to babysit you.
@@ModelAV8RChannel I do not expect anyone to babysit me. As a SEAT pilot I have respect for low flying. I am concerned that so many comments seem to come from admirers who cannot wait to emulate this low level stuff.
Is it legal in the US? Sure is not where I live.
It is not so much those depicted I worry about. It is the inexperienced or impetuous pilots keen to do the same stuff, who then get caught out.
Flying low is cool for sure. I make my living at low level, and it is the most deadly fun you can have in an aircraft, most likely.
It comes down to respect for what you are doing and being sensible.
Encouraging others to take the same risks you do, is not smart in my book, unless you can offer advice on how to do it legally and safely. Good luck with that.
I do love the footage. I just cringe at the safety issues you think you have mitigated.

Wow, thanks Johnny. The river run was so beautiful, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was so lucky to have two spotter airplanes ahead and above to watch for obstacles and let me know when to pull up for clearance to obstacles and things. If you look closely in the footage, you can catch glimpses of the spotter aircraft about a mile ahead. Gotta keep it safe!
