Back once again to watch what’s still one of my favorite childhood videos (and possibly one of the first I ever saw on TH-cam). I still love seeing NSMBW custom levels like this and was inspired to return when playing Super Mario Land for the first time! You wouldn’t believe my surprise when I reached 1-3 a few days ago and heard really familiar music, I immediately recognized it as one of the songs that plays here! I never would have guessed a old game that doesn’t even have color would have such a good soundtrack and be so interesting!
The thing is I didn't use Riivolution as my original NSMBW disk is broken. I merely imported the tilesets into the ISO with Wiiscrubber. If you want to play the levels through Riivolution, you'll have to either download a .xml that works or create one by yourself.
@MrTheGamerDude121 Thanks. The glitch was that random sprites dissappeared, including those yellow platforms, so it was impossible to reach the end of the area.
I can't believe this is still here!! I saw this video of this level so many years ago when I was little and loved it so much I recorded it on my old, standard blue 3DS! I think this was back in 2011 or 2012, when I loved watching custom levels of Super Mario (I still do!). I could never find it on TH-cam again for so many years and the only way I had of watching it was by the recording on my 3DS, though it was pretty bad of course. Unfortunately the name of the video wasnt shown in the recording so I could never just look it up. Just a few years ago I even watched the recording on my 3DS again and tried to recreate the level on Super Mario Maker (NOT Mario Maker 2) for fun. Now that I am older and have my own youtube account and stuff I am so glad to have finally found this video again, a video I never thought I would be able to find again!! Brilliant custom course! When I was little I rewatched it over and over and loved seeing the puzzle-solving in action! :D
@@Martboo48 Thanks! It's not really much, just your level with the castle theme (only theme with lava) split into 4 separate parts due to limited level space while I try to make use of the terrible limitations of Super Mario Maker to copy the puzzles seen in the level, and I could never upload it online since it isnt the Wii U version, I never had a Wii U. The 3DS version doesnt let me upload courses, a true, real bummer when I found out. That means the only way anyone, including you, would ever see it is if I recorded it for youtube (and I dont know how to screen record a 3DS so it's always in bad quality when I do since I must use my tablet's camera). I was really excited about Super Mario Maker 2 for that reason and more, and I was thinking of using it to recreate this level again with all the new, fun features. I was so excited to finally be able to upload levels, to finally be a part of a community of so many great level designers! But neither that or the new recreation of your level ever happened, because...turns out I have to get Nintendo Switch Online to get me access to uploading my own courses and even to play other peoples' courses, which I can't have, so that's upsetting Nintendo had to do that to the Switch. It kind of ruined Super Mario Maker 2 for me in a way. I don't really play on either of the Mario Makers anymore since it got boring and sad, even with Mario Maker 2's new features, after never being able to share my creations with anyone. Maybe one day i'll finally get a Wii U and things will change, or more hopefully Nintendo will remove that unnecessary Nintendo Switch Online block and let people upload courses for free like before, because in my opinion it's just blocking a lot of brilliant creators that also can't have Nintendo Switch Online. Having free online like pc games do is what made Nintendo unique and special to the other popular video game companies that have online subscriptions, and it's just a real shame Nintendo had to go down that path and even go as far as to block Super Mario Maker 2's online if you don't have the subscription when the original on the Wii U let you have fun online simply for free.
Chomp: Hmmm... he should be here soon... *Looks towards Mario* Chomp: He's not here yet. Mario: Seriously dude? are you blind? Chomp: Huh? ahh well... must be hearing things... Mario: *Sigh* He must be getting old... Chomp: Huh? What was that? THERE HE IS! *CHOMP CHOMP* Chomp: Did I get him? Woops... HEY! GET BACK HERE! Congrats, Chomp! you are now forever lonely!
@porcellusstudios Thanks for the feedback 1) The music is from Mario games (Partners in Time, Super Mario Land, Super Paper Mario) 2) That´s kinda true
Muchas gracias. El nivel tiene en alguna de sus salas tantos sprites que llega un momento en el que todos los enemigos y plataformas desaparecen. Si aún así quieres que te lo pase, mándame un mensaje privado.
Great level! I especially liked how you used Yoshis for puzzles. Does have a few flaws, though. Could use higher time limit and addition checkpoints. Also there are some puzzles that make beating the level impossible if you mess them up once. Nevertheless cool level.
that sorta creepy music from super paper mario adds a real nice touch to it. how do you get the custom musics to play perfectly without cutting out before they finish?
i like very much if u can fix it, and give us a link, i certain will play, and enjoy it OBS... sorry for my English, I learned it playing video games, heheheheh

this is probably my favorite custom level ever, it’s so creative and the music is god tier oh my daysss
Don´t worry, everybody in here is obsessed with the music in the video.
I am not even 1/2 through and I think this is OUTSTANDING. Deserve way more views.
10/5
Whoever saw potential in that first song is a genius.
this was my childhood
I also really like the idea of the purple areas that make the blocks appear if enemies are touching. SOme good stuff here!

this is the best custom level of NSMBW that will ever exist.
Have you ever thought that some flash games don't compose their own music?
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gritzy Desert
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Dungeon Theme (Super Mario Land)
Super Paper Mario - Yold Ruins
The Gritzy Desert song is in Super Mario 63
@MrTheGamerDude121 Thanks. The glitch was that random sprites dissappeared, including those yellow platforms, so it was impossible to reach the end of the area.
4:30 the blue shell was bumping to the beat 😂
these are some of the most clever puzzles i've ever seen! this is the best custom level ever.
This is so amazing dude!! Fantastic job!! 🔥🔥🔥
like all the puzzles in stead of just enemies galore, amazing custom level!

You have my sincere thanks for your deep-felt words. I am actually interested in your Mario Maker recreation.

This level is sick as hell man! Nice job!
Chomp: Hmmm... he should be here soon...
*Looks towards Mario*
Chomp: He's not here yet.
Mario: Seriously dude? are you blind?
Chomp: Huh? ahh well... must be hearing things...
Mario: *Sigh* He must be getting old...

Congrats, Chomp! you are now forever lonely!
@porcellusstudios Thanks for the feedback
1) The music is from Mario games (Partners in Time, Super Mario Land, Super Paper Mario)
2) That´s kinda true
@Martboo48 You really know where to put which music! Nice work!
You came so close to having to re-start!
@Mariofans0520 If you´re talking about adding new tilesets then I have no idea.
It's a Brawl remix of the music played in ML Partners in Time, in the desert.
@ZementBlock Thanks! I love your levels too! Specially the mechanisms and all those crazy stuff you come up with
How to Delete item on Reggie
How to save?
Seemingly, I can´t post links. Anyway, it´s a song from Brawl. I think its name is 'dungeon theme' or something like that.
AWESOME! I love the Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time Desert Theme. Good times:)
And fucking awesome custom level! Nintendo should make 'em like this!
I still love the gritzy dessert song. Rather its from SSB, M&L: PIT, or even in this game, it goes with almost ANY dessert level you can think of.
Hi
This is so cool and smart! XD Nintendo show actually make a mario game like that !
Really awesome ! You need to make your own platform game, dude ! There are some clever mechanics here ;)
The spikes on the sand lifts are really clever.
@Mariofans0520 I don´t know. I always modify the tilesets that are within the original game
Thanks. I may make another level with puzzles and crazy stuff, so stay tuned.
I'm sure nintendo would be impressed if you found a way to show it to them. I like how the level was puzzle oriented.
The lines are part of a tileset. The 4 platform wheel is just a sprite.
@Polta520 The music comes from SSBB and Super Paper Mario
Muchas gracias. El nivel tiene en alguna de sus salas tantos sprites que llega un momento en el que todos los enemigos y plataformas desaparecen. Si aún así quieres que te lo pase, mándame un mensaje privado.
Great level! I especially liked how you used Yoshis for puzzles.
Does have a few flaws, though. Could use higher time limit and addition checkpoints. Also there are some puzzles that make beating the level impossible if you mess them up once. Nevertheless cool level.
the puzzles in this level are sick
The level theme once you enter down the first pipe is Subspace Emissary: Cave.
Pretty awesome, i'll say
Unawsomely awsome with a serving of awsome dipped in awesome sause.
Hi
Hi
Awesome! You turned Mario into a Puzzle game!
Your levels are AMAZING!
Matt421421 I just realized... the name of the level is kinda misleading because it's not actually a building that got ruined.. but its still cool
that sorta creepy music from super paper mario adds a real nice touch to it. how do you get the custom musics to play perfectly without cutting out before they finish?
very good custom levle.Like music, tricks and more :)
Because you have to do so in order to progress through the level.
Fan creation of hacked (and probably more challenging) levels, but yes, there will be one.
I liked how you used the music, it reminds me of SSBB music.
The level is sooo long. (in a good way)
I think it's very hard to clear this level, but very entertaining.
brain tesing! this level shouldve been in the game and is by far the best custom level ever!
Goodness, i finally this NSMBW custom level video! 😳
*Nolstagia infestifes* 😅
I missed making these 10 or 8 years ago
At least i have mario maker though
If they ever make another Mario that should be bowser castle and how do you pit levels in sd card because I can't do that or make my own level
It's from Yold Ruins.
Cool level and all, but some of the puzzles look like that if you fail them once you need to restart the level from the start of the halfway point?
Thanks!!! Nice Level By The Way!
And How Is The Progess Of Mario Galaxy 2.5 Going?
@ThatCrazyKid0007
Gritzy Desert - SSBB
Underground Theme (Super Mario Land) - SSBB
Yold Ruins - Super Paper Mario
How dare you harm my kind to progress through this so-called custom level.
With a NSMBW level editor called Reggie!
song's name plz D:????? and amazing level, i love this one and i cant wait for play it! but i have to wait :c
yeah really. I can only get the IF event to work on marios location and not the enemy's. its so annoying. how do you do it?
hey how did you get quicksand to work? everytime i put quicksand in my levels, mario just falls right through it and dies.
Finally someone gets it right
wow ur still making them col i never will swee a snowwy castle elvel?
If you have mini mushroom, can you skip those ''you need key/key's'' parts?
I like the music. What game is it from?
Your music .... EPIC!
what music did you put in these 4 stages?
Where did you get the music from... The part when you go in to the tower like part? Where is it from
I also heard it in super paper Mario.
StratoBlast ! You mean the first part from paper Mario, and the second part from I think SSB
@yoshi2410eggcp Well, it´s a remix of the desert theme from Partners in Time, but it´s from SSBB
how did u do that it is so epic
the music outside of the ruins is from mario and luigi partners in time not super mario 63 >.>
how did ya make the video on the wii itsself.. i mean its a kind of i hypercam right... can you send me a link or something... thx
Whats The First Music? It Sounds So Fimilliar.
You must use Hamradio's BSRAR Patcher, which can be downloaded at Mariomods.
It's from Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, right?
Thou has inspired me.
* thumbs up *
@JoseEcylins, Thanks
why did you left yoshi?
I wish more Mario levels were like this ;u;
no, music of mario & luigi partners in time, the desert
it will not work for me at all. i tried everything i could think of. nothing works. not even one time.
This must've taken hours to make...
The music that starts at 4:50... WHAT THA HELL IS IT?!? I think it's from Super Paper Mario but I'm probs wrong... I MUST KNOW!!
This is so cool!
How do you get the custom music to work? I get the regular in game music
Really nice level !
what is this music from
how did you do this
What does the key do?
what was the glitch?
music on 0:05 sounds familiar
Its the gritzy desert theme from partners in time.
Video-game Master Um Ya I think That's what I just said...
Its cool bro.
You probably heard it from the mushroomy kingdom stage in SSBB. The origonal game i mario and luigi: partners in time. Love dat game
is this the shifting sand land super mario 63 song
The Arbiter's Grounds of NSMBW......
whats the music
I like the music!
I recognized all of them! (Except the exact name of the second song)
you're thinking of the flash
i like very much if u can fix it, and give us a link, i certain will play, and enjoy it
OBS... sorry for my English, I learned it playing video games, heheheheh
@halloguys100 You need an special device which costs money
