What I have studied is as: Existentialism as a Philosophy emerged in 20th century, that's why it is called the youngest philosophy, while Soren Kirkeguard belong to 19th century, died in 1855. No doubt he is considred first who write about things which later became the main points of existentialism, but Jean Pual Serter is the main figure, whose writing privided base to Existentials to emerge as an independent School of Philosophy. While you will search on Wikipedia, your answer will be Soren Kirkegurad, but when you will have deep study, you will certainly get the point.. Hope to answer the question. Regards.
