That was an interesting food experience at the end. When I visited Europe, I never got to see Spain. Though, it does bring to mind something I have enjoyed from a Spanish Restaurant in Manhattan. There was a dish called Pollo Villeroy. It is a type of breaded chicken dish, but between the outside breading and the chicken inside, there is a layer of creme sauce. If I was there, I would love to see how the authentic dish from Spain compares to that restaurant I went to in Manhattan. Thank you for this!
Always a dream to experience Barcelona and at the same time get a little story about streets, squares and buildings, which you always prepare admirably for your trips 💖🤩. Unfortunately, this city has a problem with too many tourists, which are increasing every year and not all locals like it. The Spaniards are usually very hospitable, but what's too much is, is too much. Locals are pushed out of their usual quarters, since their apartments can be better rented out as tourist apartments for a lot of money and there is hardly any affordable living space for the locals. Unfortunately, this leads to protests and flags with the slogan, Tourst go home, hang on some houses. Every beautiful side also has its dark side, for which a solution must be found that everyone can be satisfied with. For example, Airbnb has been banned from renting apartments in downtown Palma de Mallorca. Barcelona are also working on it, but unfortunately it's not easy to control all these (illegal) transfers. I think with all the beauty we see, i can be critical and mention it in a comment without condemning tourism. I also like to travel and enjoy seeing other countries and cities. A little restraint and being a little more considerate of the locals is something anyone can do. I wish you a nice day and I look forward to continuing to travel with you. 😘💕

Thanks to Alice that presents 🍸 Barcelona in their special way. An interesting fact about the City: it was founded among 13-15 before Christ by the Roman General Neo Cornelius Escipion under the name Colonia Julia Augusta Faventia Paterna Barcino.
The pure horror for me. In1992 just 4 weeks after the Olympics i was stopped on a motorway not far from the city center. A motorcycle stopped beside us and the man smashed a stone in our back door window and took our complete life. In that bag we had our passports. Cash. Credit cards. One expensive watch. I know 4 ( ! ) more folks by their names who got robbed in Barcelona. I can only send out a warning to everyone. If you go to that damned city leave all your things at home. Not in your car because they will break it up too. Not in the hotel room except you have a safe there. Spanish police officers told me those crimes were comitted by gipsy tribes from Marocco.
I worked in Barcelona for a while and I know these problems. Something similar to you happened to me in Rome, although I'm always very careful. It doesn't matter whether it's Barcelona, Rome, London, Paris or Berlin, there's no such thing as 100% safety anywhere. But if you don't necessarily identify yourself as a tourist, don't go through the city with a backpack, a large camera and a city map, you're actually always safe.
I am so sorry to hear that..😔 I was very nervous even before going there, and I was always careful even when I went there. If anyone came within 3 steps next to me, I was startled and ran away.😨 I guess I was really lucky.😳 Rest assured, this doesn't happen in my wonderland.!😊 Have a wonderful day!🌞
