Great job on this. Most people learning Power BI have some background working with formulas in Excel, so demonstrating the CALCULATE() function in DAX and drawing a comparison to how one would achieve similar results in Excel is a stroke of genius. Bravo!

I want to calculate max sum of sale qty of 5 adjacent weeks. Eg. Sum of Weekly qty = week1+2+3+4+5 (total 145) Sum of Weekly qty = week2+3+4+5+6 (total 115) Sum of Weekly qty = week3+4+5+6+7 (total 150) Sum of Weekly qty = week4+5+6+7+8 (total 130) Sum of Weekly qty = week5+6+7+8+9 (total 110) End of the calculation will be last week of FY FY start from April and end it on March Week starts on Monday but 1st Sunday of the April will be in week1. So 1st week could have 1 or 7 days sometimes. From above calculation answer should be max sum of weeks is 150 If user selects a period then the results returned for the selected period.
Hello Amir Tamboli, thank you for posting your query onto our channel. Well it's always a little bit difficult to judge and provide the results without looking at the data structure, model, working of the PBIX file for the reference as well as the results that you're trying to achieve here. And therefore we encourage you to please write back to us onto our Community Forum by providing the proper description of the problem that you're facing along with the PBIX file for the reference as well as the mock-up results that you're trying to achieve where our members as well as experts team will be able to assist you in a better and efficient manner. @@EnterpriseDNA Thanks for the guidance. But still needs clarification. I am already a member and have access to a few courses like Ultimate Beginners Guide to PBI, DAX, Data Transformation, and Modelling. The resource files are not exactly the same for each of the courses. How do I find the right datasets among them? Thanks in advance.

Time 7:52. 'Sales Product A' measure. What is the purpose of using 'FactTable' as a second argument of Calculate function? Why not just remove this condition?
The second argument of Calculate as you can see is a Filter argument and to filter (as can be seen in excel where we filtered the table/column and only selected Product "A") we have to go to The Fact Table & then specify the column condition i.e. FactTable[Products] = "A". This way we can see the sales related to only product "A".
@@mudassirsyedrashidali9787 I don't think you need to specify the table as an argument. You can just filter the product column for A and it'll replace the existing filter context with the one for product A.
@@feo786 you can exclude the Filter function in this example and get the same result. I didn't do that in this example to keep it simple avoiding Filter function won't work in every scenario.
