Just bought this rod! I’ve never had a 2-way rod- curious if the sticky/rough patch is all that keeps it at 2.7m? Or is there supposed to be a twist/lock that secures it a bit better? Want to make sure mine isn’t defective.
Yup it’s a great combo of lengths. 320 will work on all but the tightest spots, and when the stream opens up you can extend to 350 for more reach and stealth!

I found I had to get a pocket surgical black arkansas stone to get the hook sharpness that tenkara seems to require.

Yup that patch is it! And that’s a lot more than most other zoom rods have. I find this one is more secure than most.
