To answer your question about whether your viewers hand-wash their pots and pans- yes, I mostly do wash them by hand. The reason is like you said, to protect the nonstick finish. In addition, much of my cookware is large enough that it would dominate the dishwasher space, perhaps excluding things I'd rather handle in the machine and/or constricting water flow. (Mustn't do that!) Once in awhile, I make an exception such as when the pan is old and will soon be replaced or when I have extra room in that load and I am exhausted. Would like to hear how others do this as well. Good question BTW.
Such discipline and patience you have! I recall what it is like to live with so many people under one roof that the cleaning never seems to end: it just moves along in stages but is never actually done because people are LIVING! I appreciate your attitude about wanting life to be fun and your kids' days to have a good balance to them. I like the part you shared about chores and how you handle them. I think you are doing really well as kids have learning curves and varying degrees of memory/focus. With the age range of yours, the developmental concepts and abilities are myriad! Good job.
I found that making our own chore charts as a family and letting the kids decorate it themselves really made them feel more connected to it. And I always had a small daily reward if they complete that task, now it does not have to be big just a daily reward to let them know how proud you are of them. Then if weekly chores are done then they have a weekly reward of their choosing within reason that they have chosen at the start of week to work towards, what this does is leave them in control of their own chores and they were a part of the whole planning from start it really works. I came up with this for my son who has autism and he loves it because it makes him feel important and like he makes the decisions and it doesn't feel forced. At the end of the day we want our kids to not be told to do this or that we want them to be productive
Awww I REALLY love that!!! I just picked up a binder and was going to do a calendar inside a plastic cover so we can dry erase on it. But maybe I can get some stickers or something fun to decorate the calendar with!! ❤️❤️
That's the way we did his chore chart with things he loves to decorate with and you will be shocked at how eager they are to make those goals and earn their rewards they will soon be asking you do you have more for them to do REALLY it's amazing
I wanted to tell you how inviting the colors in your dining area are to me! I also like the style of the furniture. Back to colors- the light aqua, pink accents and white, distressed table all come together in such a harmonious way that it is restful and stimulating all at the same time to gaze upon them! So well done.
My kids get 5 chores everyday, and I make a new chart every week. The chores always include make their bed and school work, so that leaves 3 they are required to do as far as cleaning (vacuum a room, wipe a bathroom, take out trash, etc). Sometimes I will throw in a make lunch for your siblings or moms choice. My oldest usually has a help with laundry chore. They know and understand that TV or tablet time doesn't happen unless all 5 are completed and marked off. At the end of the week, they can choose 1 peice of candy from Halloween stash OR $1. I also have a big bucket of random more difficult chores they can pick from anytime they want (organize your closet, wipe down appliances, clean cat dishes, organzie fridge, etc), and those get $5. It works for us.
I like the way you put the dining room table. Way more open. I need energy to do some deep cleaning. Last few days I have been tired and no energy. My kids still at home are 13 and 15. Glad no more young ones lol. Great motivation.

I really enjoy watching your videos, it is very relaxing to me to watch you cleaning your house and seeing the before and after photos. I wash my pots, pans and knives (except steak knives) by hand. Boys back at school good two mornings so far... So dark just getting back into rhythm of it, they had runny noses, coughs last week but gone over weekend just like that... Plenty of warm baths, twice day paracetamol liquid incase temperature all good now

We had the flu all Christmas break and am over the sickness too!! Kids are back to normal though and getting in the routine again with school. We were like same with the break and that. Gotta get back now.
Hi Ashley happy Sunday to you here in California in the High desert the kids go back 10th January and it’s a minimum day we get a long Christmas break but spring break isn’t that long it don’t make much sense really. I have some laundry to do today too got a ham on in the crock pot for dinner tonight it makes life easier when you have the crock pot out lol. You did a great job cleaning well done it’s hard work! Woooow I did not know that about non stick pots. That’s why the coating on mines is coming off because I put them in the dishwasher. Well at least now I know so when I get new pots I’ll just hand wash them 😂😂

I have alteast one to two chores for each of my kids every week but I get frustrated when I constantly have yo remind them to do it or sometimes i even find myself doing it and then i remember that one of my kids was supposed to be doing that not me lol. so I've definitely tried charts a few times and we start of doing super well and then we just stop keeping up with it , I'm the worst 😭 .

I've seen these signs that you are chalkboards that you can write down the WiFi password on. It says like "Today's password is __________". Though the thought of changing the password daily would be annoying with all of the other devices connected to it and having to change those too (TVs, etc.). Maybe changing the lock code on the device itself and they have to earn the password or for you to unlock it for them?
Oh really?I’ve been making my own for over a year now & haven’t had any issues. I just make sure to empty my vacuum frequently & I have the reusable filters that I clean every month or so. 🤷🏼♀️ maybe if you have a different kind of filter it could mess with it?!

Leave the table where it is, get a white dog cage and keep the toys Out of the dining room. As a Mom of 5, I have evolved and reinvented the flow of our home over time. Trust me when I tell you, keep the area toy free and allow them to run, jump, and roll around.
I have been searching all online trying to find a white cover but can’t seem to find one. I might need to look for a white cage!! && I am really thinking about moving all the toys upstairs & make downstairs toy free (of course I’m sure they will bring them downstairs haha) but just have Athans couple ride on backs down here because that’s his fav thing to do! ☺️

Just incase. Make sure the essential oil is pet non toxic. Pretty sure all essential oils are toxic for cats, with dogs its the ingredient that would make it toxic.

I've seen these signs that you are chalkboards that you can write down the WiFi password on. It says like "Today's password is __________". Though the thought of changing the password daily would be annoying with all of the other devices connected to it and having to change those too (TVs, etc.). Maybe changing the lock code on the device itself and they have to earn the password or for you to unlock it for them?
I have heard you aren't supposed to suck up baking soda with your regular vacuum. Have you ever had an issue with it clogging your vacuum or filters?
Oh really?I’ve been making my own for over a year now & haven’t had any issues. I just make sure to empty my vacuum frequently & I have the reusable filters that I clean every month or so. 🤷🏼♀️ maybe if you have a different kind of filter it could mess with it?!

Leave the table where it is, get a white dog cage and keep the toys Out of the dining room. As a Mom of 5, I have evolved and reinvented the flow of our home over time. Trust me when I tell you, keep the area toy free and allow them to run, jump, and roll around.
I have been searching all online trying to find a white cover but can’t seem to find one. I might need to look for a white cage!! && I am really thinking about moving all the toys upstairs & make downstairs toy free (of course I’m sure they will bring them downstairs haha) but just have Athans couple ride on backs down here because that’s his fav thing to do! ☺️
@@ashleyforbes If I come across a white cage I’ll message you. As for the toys all over, I think you will be so amazed at how easy the day will flow with them being in the bedrooms. You can even create a parking space with painters tape or something similar so Athans can “park” his cars.
How about taking away their iPads until their chores are done their chores are done can you give them more toys to do chores to do
If you don’t use the table- why not take it out and use that space as a functional area whether that be a playroom, pet room, or office?
Just incase. Make sure the essential oil is pet non toxic. Pretty sure all essential oils are toxic for cats, with dogs its the ingredient that would make it toxic.

That was just from not doing them the night before. We are a family of 6 so we have to do dishes at least 2x a day. So if I don’t do them at night they stack up quick!
