One more thing to add. If you are getting 65-75% in Jon Bonso (Tutorials Dojo) Practice exams, Please go for the real exam. You will easily get 80%. My personal experience

A very honest account of your journey. Congratulations! My experience with the DevOps Pro last year was quite similar and I agree with all of your recommendations. I took a lot of hand-written notes and I used them when reviewing the course. I'm looking at the SA Pro course now and I'm surprised at how hard I'm finding it (I'm a former developer and I need to grow my networking fundamentals).

good stuff, for me associate was already difficult already afraid of this one.
one extra thing I am doing in my studies is to use a Anki (memorization tool) for concepts and factoids.
Watched courses on Linux Academy for practitioner and associate architect, then studied practice tests on Udemy for architect professional and got PASS. The key if you don’t know the answer just rule out nonsense ones. I fell I got lucky, but a pass is a pass :). Got 5 very similar, almost identical questions on exam which were in practice test. Good luck!

Thank you for providing detailed feedback. I just completed all the points which you have mentioned (Jon Bonso , Stephane Maarek, Whizlabs practice tests and Adrian Cantrill course. Now I am ready to face the challenge .. Hope I will pass in 1st attempt.

Gonna go back to this one. My senior manager enrolled me into a AWS SA pro class and i was really really shy not to take the exam after the class ends. I'm going to take my sysops assoc by end of month and will study this by early 2021. wish me luck!

Stéphane exam is really really tough.
I scored between 70 and 80 on my first attempt in the jon bonso tests. And scored around 90 in the second attempt.
And around 82 in the braincert exam that is tougher.
But only got 66 in stephane exam. So i am a little bit reassured that you got 40 and even with that you successfully passed in the real one.

I had rescheduled my exam 4 times. After two reschedules I cancelled my exam, got the money back. Rescheduled twice again :D .

wow this exam is scary..I got two Associates already..but this one, i will give it 3 months of prep minimum: 1 month of course, 1 month of practice and 1 month of mock tests

Great tips. Did you find the developer associate exam helpful towards learning towards the SA Professional exam? I just recently passed SA associate and, coming from an architecture background, I'm wondering whether I should do the entire associate tier first or study for the professional.
The SA Pro exam is so huge and it covers so many topics that I would say yes, studying and taking the Developer Associate certification helped me in few aspects, as (1) getting myself up to date and (2) having a chance of getting hands on a few topics. In my point of view, the SA Associate is a must and the Developer Associate can be an additional help.
So i did things just slightly different. I passed the Practioners first, then i passed the Solutions Architect. I'm currently studying for the Developers Associate. After that i'll tackle the Solutions Architect Professional. I used the same 2 courses you used. Stephane Maarek and Jon Bonso(for exams). What was your experience with the Devs Associate? In terms of difficulty which was harder between the 2 associates exams?
For me, the 2 associate exams were pretty similar in terms of difficulty, but this might be just because of my previous hands-on experience with AWS (the topics overlap a bit, but not too much). If you have some experience with the topics, the courses from Udemy should be more than enough for you to pass. Good luck!
I have Cleared Practioner and Associate..Could i give directly Professional Level...How much is difficult as compare to Associate level..
Interesting that you weren't prepared but still passed as I expected. Because maybe you were "over-prepared"?
Instead of leaving a question after more than 5 minutes wouldn't a guess would've been better to improve your chances despite not knowing?
Yes, it felt like I was not prepared, but in the end my previous hands-on experience and hours of studying paid off :)
Answering your question about guessing: it definitely worths to guess an answer before you move to the next one, since there is no penalty for guessing. I surely did that.
hi @techdevadventures6233 , can you share your opinion after your great 87% mark about why you scored 40% in Stephane Exam? is a mock exam that worth it? or is overcomplicated?
Hi @Lacosta2000, yes, I think it was a bit overcomplicated. But even like that, I felt it was important for me to build up my knowledge before the exam. As Machiavelli said, the prudent man must behave like the archer who aims higher than the distant target they want to hit.
I am an accounts background student. Can I pass this course ?
Hi Mohammad, if you prepare yourself there is no reason why you should not pass. Just keep in mind that the "Professional" certifications are very hard and require years of background/experience. I would advise you to take the entry certification or one of the "Associate" one first.

In total preparation took around 2 months, but I didn't have time to study every day.

hi stephane course is just 13 hours course which practitioner course also 13 hours.. i dont think he is teaches in depth otherwise nobody in world can cover toughest exam in 13 hours..

For starters, this video is NOT a review of Stephane's course, even though it is mentioned as ONE of the resources I used to prepare for the exam.
Additionally, both Stephane and I never said the course alone was enough to pass this certification (if you had watched the video, you would know that), but I used his course and it surely helped me a lot (as it did for thousands of other people).
