I shared with you a few videos of my unintentional breeding success when I thinned out a bin and started a new one. That was my bins 1-4 of Red Wigglers. Yesterday I fed Bins 4-5 my original Mixed Red Worms that I thinned out several months ago creating new bins 6-9 . 4 & 5 still had a massive population so I did not expect to find 100's of baby worms. As you know it is not always easy to spot cocoons but the baby worms are very noticeable. These 2 bins are light grey so when I excavated the center to drop in the food, the bottom of both bins were almost pink from all the babies and as I aerated the bins each and every hand full contained dozens of baby worms. The fact that my bins are indoors with both heat and A/C the temp. is maintained around 75 degrees and the one thing I do differently from you is that after the normal feeding and aeration I always surface feed. I use finely chopped breadcrumbs and worm chow underneath the paper and then add more worm chow on top of the paper and hit it with some moisture before placing the plastic on top. I feed every 14 days and unless I've done double paper it is always consumed completely. My shelve unit only has room for one more bin.
Worms love water. Mine drink from a dish. Food is not a matter of life or death. I use coir bedding and stick cardboard around the perimeter. They eat extras like apple cores.
I don't run my bin that dry. Worms drink fresh water from a reptile water dish from Amazon, about a cup of water a day. I figure if they drink water, they want water. The bin is wet and smells great. Digging down, one can smell anaerobic bacteria, but worms go down there, too. Worms in clusters are having an orgy or are stressed. Mine aren't water stressed so I celebrate.

It's fun when the population booms! :) I wonder if the surface feeding might be contributing to worms interacting & mating...

Dude, try some sexy music in the back ground. That might help them get in the mood
Queue the Barry White! :)
Worms are deaf, Darwin demonstrated. They do feel vibrations in the soil. So no joking around! OK some joking is OK.
👍🏻
