Peter makes everything seem so easy, in next video he will probably be like "so the Lamborghinis ecu don't work will the Volvos instrument cluster, so I made a new ecu and wiring harness to plug in to the Volvos analog cluster, it's not that hard really"
Like the U.K. Bloke on the BritishFarmingForum, who bought a Fendt tractor at auction for stone nothing cos of a declared fault with the hideously complicated CV transmission, and he rebuilt it all dead matter of factly like.
I am fascinated by this project and your no-nonsense attitude towards reusing old parts, I really like that. This is a project I would love to try myself, but I think I'm on an even tighter budget. Maybe retrofitting a Volvo 240 engine into a Gallardo would be in my capabilities 😉
The valve in the valley is called a priority valve. It sends oil flow to the main galleries first until pressure is reached which then allows oil flow to the rest of the engine.
Hi Peter as a recent retired Engineer used there products for many years yes very high quality. Hope all holds up well with the Engine Regards from Liverpool
Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to my "low budget Lamborghini engine"! ☝️😁💸 That sounds a little bit strange. But of course everybody knows how it's ment. Peter, you are really one of a kind - all this knowledge in combination with your skillz in these crafts is really cool! Love your videos! 🇸🇪👋😉🇩🇪
Back in the days we changed alot of head gaskets on a model that had some problems with it, we always re used the bolts. We just measured the length and had some "old mechanic feeling" when tighten them, if something didn't feel right we changed to some other re used bolt.. Never had a problem and none of them came back. 5-10yrs later we read "you must always change bolts" We were like "Nope, doesn't seams so" 😁
Tack för att du lägger upp såna här skitfräna videos, alltid så otroligt spännande att se vad du sysslar med. klickade hem en tisha från hemsidan också 😎
The one and only complaint I have about Peter is that we don’t get enough content from him, I like watching him do things while explaining how easy it is and I still don’t know what he’s talking about. Lol. Magical.
Would be great if you did some merch with a cat design - the one you have a sticker on your Volvo and Lambo. Love that cat and would defo buy a T-shirt or a hoodie with it
Came to say.. but all them praises are already said in here ☺️ I just love the attitude -sure you can do it! With knowledge and skills like that its almost easy too 😊 And what i really like is here is no "bs" this and that, its just this build and on point, really do hope all the best to you Peter and that you soon can rip the streets with this work of art! 👍😊 You are inspiration for many! And while you doing so if you can share some of it to us like this, it is Very much appreciated! 🙏 ps. That siluet hoodie looks great! I might have to get one 😊
I didn't hear line honing or boring mentioned without concentricity clearance is irrelevant otherwise beautiful welding I wonder if there was the crank or a dummy in place while welding to maintain location?
Do you know that running on E85 (with "hotter" ignition) raices the combustion temperature? And at the same time lowers the exhaust gas temperature. I would install the oil cooler injectors for the pistons.
If that stainless line on the dry sump moves 1mm, it will cut a hole through that aluminium in under 100km. I had a stainless line resting on my intercooler pipe, and it killed it in 2 drives.

Many thinking how hard could it be and similar builds but realizes, Yes it is hard.
you forgot to punctuate that with the Scandinavian "hmmm yep"

@@marcusgault9909Where can I find this story??
@@rkan2 somewhere on the British farming forum, but a few years ago, so good luck.
Love how the build is coming along, you are a master sir. Stoked for the merch, looks so cool.

Steve Morris welds up 5000 HP big blocks daily. Send it, Bro!
Cant wait until a video of startup. You are doing an amazing job ! Stay awesome brother.
Wow, that's engineering to the limit - such a snug fit for the rods to go through the bore! Very cool.
Yeah Mitutoyo kit is *chefs kiss*

Wowza. A Mitutoyo sponsorship is for real, they are exceptional. Looks good on you!
I love watching a guy assemble an engine. It's pure art. Great video. I really admire your knowledge.
This build is so awesome in every way!

Standard Peter....understated and modest, while doing crazy bits harvesting and explaining effortlessly. What a gem, can't wait for the next one!
Awesome to see a new video on the Volvoghini.
Mitutoyo is CLASS 👌👌
Thanks Peter. Hope you are feeling well. 👍👍
You're one hell of an engineer AND mechanic, Peter. Always a joy to watch your work coming together bit by bit.
SO glad you're using the even fire engine!
I can't imagine how good it will feel to see the engine run for the first time after putting in so much effort - Bravo
Beautiful blend of machining stuff and trying to save costs along the way. Looking forward to that first start.

Great to see the progress. Interesting that you're assembling the engine in the Ladie's toilet!! 😄
Super cool again!!
Funny thing, I was working on Awakes office in Frihamn. We did install the super cool acoustic spray on the ceiling😎
The one and only complaint I have about Peter is that we don’t get enough content from him, I like watching him do things while explaining how easy it is and I still don’t know what he’s talking about. Lol. Magical.
I like this project. This is the spirit of hot rodding. Greetings from Finland!

Definitely one of my favourite builds on TH-cam.
You are unbelievable! I cannot believe what a good mechanic you are it’s really fun to watch your work. I wish you would make more videos though.
27:20 - I think the O-ring lube is just Superlube or similar silicone grease.
It's great to see more of you in the videos.
Would be great if you did some merch with a cat design - the one you have a sticker on your Volvo and Lambo. Love that cat and would defo buy a T-shirt or a hoodie with it
I can't wait to see this thing running and driving. Keep up the good work.
Outstanding automotive content.

Damn i missed this upload in all the midsummer preparations, glad to enjoy it now instead! Keep it up Peter
Thx for the update I’ve been waiting to see what’s next for the Volvo
Love my Mitutoyo instruments. This build is great
Peter, can you make a t shirt of the V10 engine as it sits in this video? Open plenums so you can see the long and short runners.
Watching him plumb the dry sump is what it feels like to play factorio
Quality you show stuff about the engine that is really interesting how it really works instead of throwing expensive parts on it.
Mitutoyo are amazing! I have only been using cheap calipers before, but got a Mitutoyo at work. The difference is like night and day.
Ahaha! The Hooters Las Vegas pen brought me a lot of memories!
Nice work. I have 450 hp lq4 in a 1936 Oldsmobile.
Amazing work as always. Working to brilliant standards is a joy to watch.
I've never seen someone sponsored by Mitutoyo , this is such a cool statement!
1:25 What is that crack??
Great work Peter!! Enjoy all your videos. I hope you are feeling well these days. Keep it up!!
Always happy to see a new video of the Volvoghini. 👍
Looking good Peter, enjoying this series very much. Battery life on the Mituytoyo is excellent too, no more dead calipers when you go to use them.
Good and interresting as allways you rally can explane whats going on in the engine in an unddrstandeble form.
Thanks Peter.
God gave you a beautiful mind, dude. Outstanding work
Looking forward to seeing the car at Street Week :D
I’m ready for the mercy.. Peter you are awesome. Keep the vids coming!

Omg omg omg an update 😁
The cam gears have special washer impregnated with industrial diamonds to greatly increase their bite and increase friction 👍
Love seeing your updates. I just started on the same build process for my project car and this was a nice confidence boost. :) Keep going!
Skill level goes to 11!!!
I didn't hear line honing or boring mentioned without concentricity clearance is irrelevant
otherwise beautiful welding
I wonder if there was the crank or a dummy in place while welding to maintain location?
Mitutoyo are brilliant tools.
Fantastic update thank you. Such an epic project

Dude giving us an an instructional video like we're assembling our own Lamborghini engine at home.
Are those stretch bolts? The only stretch bolts I have used have had grooves on the threads.
Great content!
