This is that one fitness channel I tune into because it is practical and does not rely on crazy contraptions. There are so many channels that only concern themselves with aesthetics whereas Adam's exercises are essentially what will put meat into your bones.

Great for joints, rotational strength, and bullet proofing the spine. I never gave it much thought as a minimalist - even though you perform them a lot on the channel. I do have some gear but I'm very picky. However, I think this may be a new addition, especially if I can't find a way to get the creative brain working on making one homemade.

Have D balls ( these dot bounce) from 5 to 50 kg. One of the best pieces of equipment you can buy. Trains all the smaller interconnecting muscles in a way that overlaps normal weight training and will make you stronger but the best point of ball training is how strong it will make your core muscles. Another version, two 120yrd sprints, slam ball 120yrds, two 120yrd sprints, back overhead throw 120yrds, two 120yrd sprints, twisting slam 120 yards, two 120yrd sprints. Brilliant Adam. I've been doing slam/overhead/alternating side sling 2x week. One heavier day and one lighter to dovetail into the knees over toes program added last year. Super helpful in coordinating compound strength movements with good old grind work. The balls I've acquired have a valve hole and I add/subtract air for bounce variation. I've still got my old leather med balls too but the rubber are far easier to use outside when it's wet or muddy.
Your breakdowns are superb so I'll be going back over my form and focus with this video.

First medicine ball th-cam.com/users/postUgkxsg8rI-i6ePWRkhrp_UHScmUIKozMa9uU that I have ever owned. So far so good, it's very easy to hold on to with workouts I do with it, although I do wish though I would have ordered a heavier one, the ones at the gym I used to go to must have been overweight because this one felt pretty light compared to those that said they were also 8 pounds. Great product though, I love it and plan on keeping it for a while at least until I need a bigger one

How about strapping in the feet so that the hip flexors and hamstrings can contribute much more? That would make it a more complete inverse vertical jump. I have been a fan of doing it with gravity boots for some time, which, at least for me, is a very high level of resistance with just body weight, but now that I think about it, strapping in your feet enables you to use a level of resistance that allows for explosive movement. In fact, given that the resistance is generated by acceleration, you have to be explosive. I think I have to give that shot.

Talking of genuinely fun exercises, have you ever tried that thing called "reflex ball" ? Basically it's just a rubber ball attached to an elastic string approximately the size of your arm, whose other end is attached to a headband (easy to make your own or you can buy it it's cheap) and so you punch it and it bounces back right in your face and you punch it again and again.
Do it with some weight to your wrists or with light dumbbells in hands and it's a great exercise : endurance, reflex, cardio, speed, and most importantly big fun

Funny Story. This is one of my favourite movements and it is possible to hurt yourself. That is if you mistake a "Medicine Ball" Which is actually called a Slam Ball where I'm from, and what we call med balls bounce really well while weighing quite a bit. I started at a new gym just over a year ago and did some slams. I came out with a broken nose after reversing the movement to pick the ball up and having the entire 8KG come at my face at high velocity. All because of language and naming semantics.

Medball slams are awesome. I feel myself go into a primal 'crush my enemies with this huge rock' kinda heaspace. Given that, I wonder if they increase testosterone in a similar way to how chopping wood does (that's meant to get you around a 60% boost I believe).
